A lot of people moaning about this update...! That's what you get when Meta employs the man that design the interface for the Apple Vison headset..! besides the real reason they have gone down this route is sometime in the future this UI will be used in there raybans with a dual display and eye tracking.
If they intend to use this **bleep**ty UI for Raybans then that is even worse, you need more contrast on a menu that can have anything behind it not less. If you happen to be looking at the ceiling or any light coloured wall in Pass through mode you can't read any of the text, any Rayban user will have that same issue.

He’s only been there three months and wouldn’t have had any opportunity to impact this UI.
It’s fundamentally the same as the New Navigator UI pushed on to us last year, before he was employed/poached by Meta.
