I've been using link for years without any real issues until the recent issue preventing us from going to desktop. Now they fixed that issues but introduced this horrendous performance bug. The two combined pushed me to switch to a wired Virtual Desktop setup and it's working so much better than it did on Link. Still amazed it's been over a week since this bug was reported and there is no update but on the bright side I'm on Virtual Desktop now and I'm done forever with Link.
I thought virtual desktop was wireless only? I am so fed up I am looking at buying a pimax crystal super - can’t really afford one but equally I am missing playing dcs in vr mode

VD experience depends on the game. For example AMS2 doesnt support OpenXR, it sucks and is weird for me in Virtual Desktop.
iRacing is incredible in VD though.
You can get a USB to Ethernet adapter and do cabled with VD.
Or there is an app to do reverse tehter via the USB cable.
Wireless is the way to go if im honest btw. Because you can charge and play.- Sentryuk3 months agoAdventurer

You can use a wired solution but it requires a few pieces of hardware, a network switch and USB-C to Ethernet adaptor. I don't know if links are allowed here otherwise I would post a link to a video showing how to set it up. Just search on youtube for 'Quest 3: Hardwire Into Virtual Desktop'. I then asked AI settings for both the Virtual Desktop PC streamer app and Virtual Desktop itself and it works beautifully now.
