I've been playing around with v81. Pinning applications is very useful, and now a basic version of it is finally here.
As a test, I pinned 3 windows and then launched some VR applications. Most of the time, the windows stayed where they were, but on one occasion, one of them closed again (or rather, didn't reopen). In that case, it was Spotify. It seems it's not always completely persistent under certain conditions.
Furthermore, I noticed the performance. The XR2 Gen 2 can barely handle 3 windows at 90 fps. There's now a dynamic resolution feature that reduces the resolution in the home environment, but that doesn't always seem to be the best approach to me. Wouldn't it make sense to introduce an optional 72 fps mode in the home environment without having to go through the power-saving mode? I tested it with the Quest Games Optimizer, and it seems to be better than 90 fps with constantly dropping resolution or stutters/judder...
