Publishing error: You are attempting to publish a world with pre-release features.
Hi, I have a World and I want to participate in the Creator Competition: Elevate Your Mobile World. When I try to use new features—such as importing an FBX file or inserting assets with the new format—there is no problem in previewing the World. However, since my World was originally created in 2022, I receive the following error message when attempting to publish: "You are attempting to publish a world with pre-release features." It seems that new features are recognized as pre-release features in worlds with older original metadata or internal structure. Even if I delete all entities and scripts in the World except for the imported FBX or inserted asset, I still receive the same error when I try to publish it. On the other hand, if I create a brand-new World and import the same FBX file or insert the same asset, publishing works fine. Additionally, in my older World, I can't assign custom textures to shapes, and the Build > Shapes menu lacks newer items like Cube Beveled or 10 x 10 Plane. Since the competition requires updating a previously published World, what would you suggest? Can I recreate and update my World from scratch to avoid the publishing error? If I do that, the new World would not meet the requirement of being originally published before June 30, 2025. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!SolvedNavid.6410 hours agoMember1like7CommentsQuick question about player management in Worlds.
I'm in the planning process for another attempt at a world, this time trying to take into consideration better player management. Having learnt recently how to manage cameras and player controls I have a question about how you manage a lobby. Is it possible that your world can have more than the max number of players you set in 'Players Settings' what happens if your world is "full"? Does this just work transparently a world that is supposed to be 1v1 (max 2 players) will just spawn to demand or can there only be one instance of a world running?LNATIONDEV2 days agoMember0likes0CommentsUnderstanding the rooftop racers demo
Hello, Unsure this is the correct forum to ask this question, it seems you can only have access to one at a time which is a bit silly but any ways. I've just downloaded the sample "rooftop racers" world and I'm looking at the the double jump logic. I see the relevant logic inside PlayerLocalController script that actually implements the double jump. I think I understand the toggle stuff between player and server running. However what is confusing me is in the world there are 8 objects configured with the script attached. Setup like you have to attach the object/script to the player when they enter the game. Is this truthful and where can I find that logic which attaches the player to the object?SolvedLNATIONDEV2 days agoMember0likes2CommentsKeyboard mapping in the desktop editor.
Hi, I'm looking at the keyboard shortcuts for 'Preview mode'. With the quest you have controllers so you have more options than just jump, grab and release. Is it possible to manually map a key. Is this documented anywhere?SolvedLNATIONDEV2 days agoMember0likes2CommentsIn-world purchase issues
Hello everyone! I just published a clothing store with in-world purchases and once someone buys an item it doesn’t show up on their assets. Does anyone else is having this same issue? (Someone just purchased 6 pieces and non of them are showing in their assets/closet). Any information would be really appreciated. Thanks!GrizlyMC2 days agoPartner0likes1CommentUsing Player-Dropped Portals Break Player Collision
I turned this into its own thread sense it seems this is a Horizon World issue and not just my world. Would love if any would help test this to confirm if what I am seeing is correct. ## Bug Using a portal breaks player collision. I tested this many times by directly traveling to Super Rumble, where no bug was occurred. I then tested many times using portal, where the bug would occur most the time. Wrote down on a paper trying to make sure I had high confidence in the bug and reported the bug using the 4 button report thing. Going straight to super rumble: No Issue Go to rumble using portal, bullets start going through some players. It is at random but the players you can't shoot stays the same. So you some players you will be able to shoot and some you can't. Recreating Bug To recreate this bug go to horizon lobby area, create portal to rumble and shoot at players. Keep in mind if you shot the guns it will trigger hit, it is the player collider that on some players you won't be able to hit. I have had the same issue with my game, but usually only use portals to get people to try it out, so really hard to fully know without some help.FreakyChest3 days agoMember0likes3Comments
