Recordings too short for safety
Currently I use a GoPro on my road bike for safety reasons. I've had cars swerve at me, I've had people people start fights with me, I've been attacked by dogs and the owners blame it on me...all kinds of crazy stuff over the last decade or so. So now I never ride my bike without the video running, like a dash cam in a car. I would buy these glasses instantly if they could record hour long videos. I currently wear Oakleys anyway but also have a goofy looking GoPro attached to the top of my helmet. I'd love to get rid of that and have it all as part of my glasses. Are there any plans to update the software/hardware to allow this safety feature in the future?barrett.mcdowell11 hours agoHonored Guest0likes2CommentsOakley Meta Glasses - 16:4 - Landscape
Tried searching for topics relating to this but unable to find anything. Dearly hoping that there are plans afoot for a firmware release from Meta that facilitates these great glasses with the ability to film in landscape mode. I am worried that this has been a massive oversight, a what could have been potentially the most revolutionary piece kit, might end up falling short at the last hurdle. If this is the case I might just have to offload them and switch back to my other action camera. Come on Meta, please shed some light on what may or may not be on the way... at least a little hint please.Salzzy.Wales2 days agoHonored Guest0likes0CommentsVideo Import Error
Hello People! I've Been Having The 1st Generation Of The Ray Ban Meta Glasses For A While Now, I Have Just Came Back From Recording Some Video's And I Went Back Home To Import The Video's! So You Know How You Can Look At A "Preview" At The Video Before It Import's To Full Quality? Well I Did That For One Of The Video's Since I Was Checking Which On Of The One's Had The Funny Moment In It, But When I Checked Back A Minute Later To See If It Import It All Of Sudden Instead Of 3 Minute's Turned Into Just 1 Second And Wouldn't Let Me Play It Anymore! I Tried Using Video Player's Like "VLC" To See If It Would Play But I Still Couldn't Figure Out How To View It, But I Know It's Not Corrupted Or Messed Up Since The Date, Megabytes & Thumbnail Still Show's Up On The Meta App So Is There Any Way Or Loop Around I Can Do To Fix This Issue Since It Alway's Effect One Video Out Of The Some I Do To Import To The App, Thank's!Plush_King_6412 days agoHonored Guest0likes0CommentsMeta Display glasses failed to import the image data to phone.
My mobile phone is Xiaomi 12s Ultra. I know that the data export format of the Apple system is different from that of Android. However, when I use an app to connect the device and import the captured pictures or videos, there are two problems: 1. Images: Occasionally, the file name suffix is .odProcessed.JPG, and the image format is HEIC. On the computer, it is displayed horizontally, and the image content is also horizontal; however, usually normal images are.JPG, and both the image and the content are vertical. 2. Videos: When connecting the Xiaomi 12s Ultra through the app, shooting and exporting the video, through PotPlayer, it was found that the color space was BT470BG, but when binding other phones such as OnePlus 14, after shooting and exporting the video, it was found that the color space was BT2020. Can anyone tell me what's going on here?kevin.5623751 month agoHonored Guest1like1CommentAudio only mode
These glasses are an incredible way to make music recordings especially in non studio environments where they can capture the ambient sound and the instrument sound in a way that feels especially similar to that of the musicians experience. It would be so good to be able to take long audio recordings that either have no video or the option to limit the quality of the video to allow for less intensive live processing. Though probably just introducing an audio only mode would be the easiest. There are many situations where this would be ideal, not just for musicians, for instance having a way to capture conversations, meetings or school lectures with the convenience of the glasses would be incredible as well. Is this being worked on? Would love to participate in a trial of this featurezurielw1 month agoHonored Guest0likes3CommentsCan't start a hyperlapse?
Hi guys, Really loving my Meta Ray Ban Wayfarer Gen 2 glasses. The built in camera has really enabled me to take shots I'd normally miss (due to not getting my phone in time, or not bothering because of the faff). I'm having trouble starting a hyperlapse however. Wondering if you guys can point me in the right direction? I've tried "Hey Meta, start a hyperlapse" and "Hey Meta, record a hyperlapse". The glasses respond by making a confirmation noise, and the recording light comes on. But it stops shortly after. If I go to my Media page I can see it's just recorded a standard 3 minute video. My glasses are on the latest firmware available, and I'm based in the UK. Am I doing something wrong?positivelad1 month agoExplorer0likes8Comments
