Vanguard glasses completely dead and the case only flashes red
I have only used it about 5 times. The glasses is completely dead and the case only flashes red when glasses placed in the case. I have tried the resets and no difference, cleaned the charge points on both, as well a different C type cable and there is no difference …I also saw that to do a master reset on the case with the glasses inside and when the case light changes to white to release the button but that too immediately goes back to the flashing red.0likes0CommentsMeta glasses changing voice on its own
So recently my meta glasses have been switching its voice setting without me prompting it. I’ll go to the voice settings and select the default voice, as it’s the only one I care for. When I ask meta for something it switches back to a different voice which I find extremely annoying. I’ve tried to update everything and it doesn’t seem to fix anything. Funny enough, I noticed this issue after updating to version 125.MiataMatt211 day agoHonored Guest0likes0CommentsRay-Ban Meta Gen 1 are unresponsive
Hi everyone, My Ray-Ban Meta Gen 1 glasses stopped working for an unknown reason and I have been unable to get them working again. The glasses are completely unresponsive. The capture button does not respond at all, and I can no longer connect or sync the charging case with the Meta app. Here is what I have tried so far: The glasses appear to have a full charge. The only response I get from the glasses is when I try to restart them and release the capture button - the LED turns red. https://www.meta.com/help/ai-glasses/905490264519056 Pressing the capture button normally does nothing. I tried performing a factory reset. According to the instructions, rapidly pressing the capture button 5 times should start the reset process and the LED should begin flashing. However, nothing happens at all. I have repeated the reset procedure multiple times and am confident I am following the instructions correctly. Regarding the charging case: The Meta app cannot detect or sync with the case. When I try to put the case into pairing mode, the LED never flashes blue. I also tried resetting the charging case by holding the rear button for more than 16 seconds, as described in the instructions. The LED turns white while holding the button, but nothing else happens afterward. When the case is connected to a charging cable, the LED is orange. When the glasses are placed inside the case, the LED remains orange. Unfortunately, the Meta app still cannot detect either the case or the glasses. Has anyone experienced a similar issue where both the glasses and the charging case became unresponsive at the same time? Any troubleshooting suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Avete suggerimenti? Qualcun'altro ha lo stesso problema ? Hi everyone, I'm unable to update my Ray-Ban Meta glasses (Scriber Optics 01MM). Every time I tap "Install update" in the Meta View app, I get the error: "Unable to complete the update. Your phone can't connect to the temporary Wi-Fi network that your glasses use for operations that require a faster connection. Restart your glasses and try again." Device: Xiaomi 15T OS: Xiaomi HyperOS 3.0.302.0 (Android 16) Meta View app: latest version from Play Store Glasses: fully charged in case, Bluetooth connected, restarted multiple times What I've already tried: - Restarting glasses (5-second hold) and phone - Disabling mobile data before starting the update - Disabling both Wi-Fi and mobile data - Forgetting my home Wi-Fi network - Reinstalling Meta View app - Checking Wi-Fi advanced settings for any auto-switch toggle (there is none on HyperOS 3) The root cause seems to be that HyperOS has an aggressive cloud-based Wi-Fi switching system (cloud_weak_network_switch_enabled) that automatically drops Wi-Fi connections without internet access. Since the glasses' temporary hotspot has no internet, HyperOS kills the connection before the firmware transfer completes. On iPhone this works fine because iOS shows an explicit popup asking the user to join the glasses' Wi-Fi network. On Android/Xiaomi, the app tries to connect silently and HyperOS immediately drops it. The only workaround I've found is using ADB commands to disable Xiaomi's cloud network switching, but this shouldn't be necessary for a consumer product. Could the Meta View Android app be updated to use Wi-Fi Direct or the Android WifiNetworkSpecifier API to request a persistent connection to the glasses' hotspot, bypassing the OS-level network switching? This would fix the issue for all Android users with aggressive Wi-Fi management. Thanks for any help.Ldstt9 days agoHonored Guest0likes0CommentsA way to retry Autocapture (Oakley Meta Vanguard)
Was wondering if anyone knows a way to retry an attempted auto edit of a bunch of clips that were taken via Autocapture. I ran a 10k recently, and all of the clips were imported, but the auto-edit failed and some clips didn't fully get processed (still have the raw fisheye look to them). Before the error was dismissed, I think it read something like "error with cloud import". (I have cloud backups on) Is there any known way to "redo" the import or attempt to re-edit the clips? Now I'm just stuck with a handful of full-processed, non figheye'd clips in a sea of raw captures that aren't usable. Thanks!plzsendpie9 days agoExplorer0likes0Comments
