Handwritten responses on rayban display glass
I signed up for early access on my display glasses and neural band and received an update alert that there were new features for handwritten responses and teleprompter. I updated my band and glasses, but I am not able to access handwritten responses in either Messenger or WhatsApp. The options to answer are still just video call, audio message, dictate or photograph. How do I get this working?Solvednicmn14 days agoExplorer0likes8CommentsOakley Vanguard don’t connect to Strava and Garmin
I see this is a very well known topic , outstanding for at least the last two months and apparently not solved yet : for the cost and the brand reputation this experience is just unacceptable and deeply amateurish I kindly ask Meta’s brains to provide us with an official statement and help in addressing this annoying problem when I try to connect Meta AI app to either Garmin or Strava the process get stuck in a blank page I posted several comments in other threads , I tried to contact meta customer support (but I Learned that can only manage issue for products purchased at the Meta Store…and routed me to Oakley customer support…this is incredible), so far no reaction (must be for the Xmas break …I hope) Please, I kindly ask if someone from the community managed to solve this or if Meta can tell how to do (please not like I read somewhere “to unpair and pair again the glasses: it doesn’t work with me)Solvedvfallucca30 days agoProtege2likes22CommentsCan't connect Garmin and Strava to brand new Vanguard glass
Hi, When I try to connect Garmin OR Strava in the Meta AI application after saying Yes on the popup for any of the apps I only get a white screen. I tried every option reinstalling the Meta AI (and reconnect glass), reinstalling Garmin, non of these options works. I think there is a serious issue when it comes to pairing with these apps. The only benefit of the glass is the ability to connect to Garmin and Strava. I saw multiple threads about the same problem. It would be great to get an official statement that Meta is on the issue and an update will be given to the consumers. I got the glass as Christmas present and despite listening music on it and taking some random pics none of the pillar functionalities are working for the glass. Device / software • Meta smart glasses: Firmware 20.0 • iPhone: iOS 26.2 • App: WhatsApp (latest version) • Meta View app: Latest version • Region: UK • Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer GEN two Summary Since updating to Meta glasses firmware 20.0 (and around the same time iOS 26.2), WhatsApp message readout on the glasses is no longer working correctly. This is a major regression for accessibility. WhatsApp message readout is one of the most useful features of the glasses, and it is now doesn't work for incoming messages. Issue description For most incoming individual WhatsApp messages, the glasses: • Play the notification sound • Say only: “Message on WhatsApp” • Do not read the message content • Do not announce the sender’s name This happens even for very short messages (e.g. “Hello, how are you”). If I then say “Read it”, the glasses will read the message content, but still do not say which contact it is from. By contrast: • Group WhatsApp messages behave correctly • The glasses announce the sender’s name • The message is read out automatically without prompting This suggests the issue may be related to contact handling for individual chats rather than WhatsApp notifications in general. Steps to reproduce 1. Ensure Meta glasses are connected to iPhone 2. Ensure WhatsApp message readout is enabled in Meta View 3. Receive a direct (1-to-1) WhatsApp message from a saved contact 4. Listen to the glasses’ response Expected behaviour • Glasses say something like: “You have a message from [contact name] on WhatsApp” • Message content is read out automatically Actual behaviour • Glasses say only: “Message on WhatsApp” • Message content is not read out • Sender’s name is never announced • Manual prompt (“Read it”) is required, and even then the sender is not identified Troubleshooting already attempted • Disconnected and reconnected WhatsApp from the glasses three times • Verified WhatsApp message readout is enabled • Confirmed Meta AI has full access to Contacts • Confirmed Bluetooth permissions include Contacts and Favourites • Restarted phone and glasses • Submitted an in-app bug report via Meta View None of the above resolved the issue. Accessibility impact This is a significant accessibility regression. I rely heavily on WhatsApp readout for hands-free communication. Having to manually ask the glasses to read messages — without even knowing who the message is from — makes the feature far less usable and compromises independence. Because group messages still work correctly, this appears to be a specific bug rather than a general limitation. Request Please investigate WhatsApp message readout for individual chats on Meta glasses firmware 20.0, particularly: • Contact name resolution • Automatic message readout behaviour • Differences between individual and group message handling Happy to provide logs or test a fix if needed.Solvedcolin.hughes.1327781 month agoExplorer2likes10Commentsoakley meta htsn speaker no audio output
My Oakley Meta glasses respond to “Hey Meta AI” (LED/gesture confirms response), pairing works, microphones work, but there is no audio output at all — no AI voice, no shutter sound, no system sounds. This started immediately after the battery fully drained overnight. Charging completed normally, but audio never recovered. This appears to be a hardware audio failure after deep battery discharge. I have already tried restarting, re-pairing, updating, and charging fully.Solvedjunaydi1 month agoHonored Guest0likes2Commentspromo code

Almost every time, the autocapture feature on my Meta vanguard glasses automatically stops working after I start running or cycling for about 2 to 3 kilometer(some times at 5 or 6km). The Meta glasses fail to read data from my Garmin watch, such as heart rate or speed. On the watch, the Meta AI icon changes into a blue IQ icon, similar to the one in the Garmin Connect app, with yellow ellipsis dots next to it. At that point, the autocapture function no longer works, and when I ask the Meta glasses by voice, they respond that they’re unable to read the relevant information. My watch is a Garmin Forerunner 965 system version 26.08, my phone runs on Android, and my Meta Vanguard glasses are on version 17.Solvedjuventwins20252 months agoExplorer0likes3CommentsUnable to connect Meta AI app to Garmin
As other have reported there is an issue getting the Meta AI app to connect to Garmin. Got excactly the same issue as reported here: Oakley Meta Vanguard can't connect to Garmin from Meta AI | Meta Community Forums - 1350499 -- I'm using an iPhone and have the following issue trying to connect my Meta AI app to Garmin Connect. Starting in the Meta AI app: Open Devices -> Vanguard -> App connections Select Garmin Press "Connect Garmin" Press "Yes, allow" on "Allow connection to Garmin?" screen This open the Garmin Connect app on a "Meta AI" screen Press "Agree" on "Connect with Meta AI?" form This opens a link to facebook.com in Safari. I'm not sure what the full link is. What appears is my facebook feed, with a callout box at the bottom of the page reading "The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed" -- Have tried to delete and reinstall the Meta app 2 times. Same error. No change. Tried to mess around with language settings as I'm on Norwegian settings for phone, Meta AI and Garmin app. Glasses are Oakley Vanguard and my Garmin device is Garmin Edge 1050. Kind of in a dead end here and help would be nice.SolvedEllraz2 months agoHonored Guest0likes10CommentsOakley Meta Vanguard can't connect to Garmin from Meta AI
Hi. I'm using an iPhone and have the following issue trying to connect my Meta AI app to Garmin Connect. What appears is my facebook feed, with a callout box at the bottom of the page reading "The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed" My only available action at this point is to press the "X" button to dismiss the error message. If I task-switch back to Garmin Connect it is on my landing screen. If I task-switch back to Meta AI it is showing a blank white screen. This process is 100% reproducible. I can confirm that all of the relevant apps are up to date, and that my phone is on the latest public iOS.Solvedrjessop2132 months agoExplorer1like36Comments
