Character Animation question
hello I doing few animations for my character, the camera its attached to the head. One of this animation, its "sit down" and the character do a 180º for sit down, i disable all imputs while run the animation, the idea its rotate the camera with the animation rotation and perhaps allow few head camera movement but force the rotation when reach a neck limit. Since i havent DK1/DK2, i can't check if its good or how annoying, nause problem. Or what the better way of do that. any opinion what its the best way of do that? or how other demos for DK1 handle that? lock camera and rotate seems not good . rotate only the same, perhaps "comfort" thanks and excuse my english.knack10 months agoHonored Guest0likes3CommentsHow to create the characters I need

What are the options are in VR development, to keep a player aware of his orientation in his/her room? The options I have seen so far: - An arrow in the middle of the room. In my experience this is not a great way to keep the player aware of his orientation, because he specifically needs to look down for this & need to be in the center of the room or know what direction to look at.KayGoossen924 years agoHonored Guest0likes1CommentMedal of honor not saving
Why it seems to be so hard to get answers to my problem, Medal of honor not saving, every time starts at the beginning. And i mean at the very beginning, language, difficult etc. I played several missions, and still it starts at the beginning. Games and apps for disabled people
Hello, my name is Nathalie and I am a huge fan of the Oculus Quest and if I may say it saved my life. Since 2005 I have been running tests after tests and being treated like a guinea pig to finally a few months ago get a diagnosis of fibromyalgia and ME CFS ( Unrest documentary if interested) which are 2 illnesses that are not really known in the medicine field and are undergoing research. There is no cure and no known treatment up to this day. I lost my mobility a few years ago and suffer from excruciating pain 24/7. I love that you have games that we can play sitting which is great for me. I would like to know if it would be possible to have something like the thaichi app for people in wheelchair. I tried it but it’s to hard sitting. Also any types of games and apps that can reduce our anxiety and less agressive movements because if we try to work our muscles to hard we end up suffering for days with no possible relief of medication. I am taking the strongest pain killer and I still have a lot of pain every day. The travelling and colouring apps took my mind of my every day pain and anxiety and especially the fishing games to. I use to hunt and fish all the time before I became disabled. A hunting game would be also great. I can’t work or do anything I had passion for and was at a point of not seeing why I should continue because I had nothing left to do. And someone showed me the Oculus Quest and it brought back the light in my every day. It literally saved me. Thank you for an amazing product and please keep me updated if something else à disabled person can play with and will not suffer from after a long game session. I love you guys and continue in bringing joy and sunshine to people in need. We deserve to have fun in a way that can be possible because we still exist. Hi, I'm trying to implement an artificial locomotion.. You can simple move around with the thumbstick of the Oculus Touch. However if you wish to move with your room scale you can do it as well. Now where's the problem.. I'm using the standard OVRPlayerController to do that and everything works fine but when i move myself in roomscale the collider stay back in its original position (of course.. because only the camera is moving and not the collider itself). So i'm wondering what's quickest and better way to accomplish this? Should i completely change the way i move my character in order to move its collider with it? The problem is.. if i move the collider with the camera while i'm using the current system.. everything goes nuts because OVRPlayerController uses a Character controller which use physics and so if I force the collider to move the player will easly bounce around. Instead i was thinking something like a raycast to make sure the player is always on the right height and translate him instead of relying on physics. Suggetions? TLDR: I need a system to have both locomotion and roomscale in VR while still being able to detect triggers and other stuff.Welby5 years agoAdventurer0likes2CommentsCrypto Casino
