The real issue with dell xps gpu 4070 RTX having problem connecting to meta link app for pcvr
The compatibility issue is around for more than a year and meta didnโt fix it yet. I have a dell xps with 4070 RTX GPU and thought it would have no issue at all working with meta app. The reality is that it doesnโt work at all and I have been troubleshooting this issue with chatgpt help for a week with no good news. The conclusion I found after looking at the logs in debug tools it shows an issue with the hybrid gpu setup in the laptop. I contacted meta support and they told me they donโt support laptops. It turned out the root cause of the problem is that there are 2 GPUs inside the laptop: 1- Intel integrated for the display 2- nvidia gpu for rendering. When meta runs it checks for the whitelist gpu and does a check to give validation. Your gpu could be compatible but if its not connected to a display its marked as noOutput in the hybrid gpu check as shown in the pic below โand this is the main reason for the validation fail. I have tried to find a solution to make nvidia gpu connected to the display but could not, it seems all ports and display are connected directly to the intel gpu and it only uses nvidia gpu for rendering. it also seems that meta support doesnโt care about solving this issue and just tells me to buy a PC so I can use the link app, as PC has dedicated gpu cards that can be used directly for output. i would really appreciate anyone having the same issue to help with troubleshooting and trying to find a solution as Meta is not thinking of fixing this problem. โ

I have somehow ended up spending most of my time today getting cycled through an endless stream of support agents, and despite all of the hours spent, I've ended up just endlessly trying essentially the same suggestions I googled before contacting support. It might not fix anything, but you won't have to explain yourself over and over again each time you get abruptly disconnected from the person you're messaging with. If I had known support was this bad and Link is somehow more glitchy than when I last used it years ago, I honestly might have not decided to go back into exploring VR development right now. (Virtual Desktop works great without issue, but I need the Meta XR support of Link)
V76 update broke pcvr link
Apparetnly, the new latest update on the quest has made link very unstable and not able to use as of lately. What I found was that if you go to the Occulus setup and click repair it sort of helped but the next day went back to the same thing with it discconecting again. Occulus repairing whenever this happens seems to fix for at least a day before it goes back to the same old thing of disconnecting again. I really hope Meta looks into fixing this because this has been really annoying for the past few weeks ever since this update rolled in.Orientation flipping when using quest link.
I just got a link cable and I have only had this problem when I started using quest link. My orientation keeps flipping backwards randomly when I play games. It will do this several times and then it will be fine for a while before repeating the process. I have fresh batteries and I cleaned off the sensors, so I do not know why this is happening.
RTX 5070 with USB Link confirmation
Hello all - Iโm about to upgrade my PC. I was aiming to get a RTX 5070. Does Meta Quest Link work at all for this? I do Unity development, so having Link would be useful for recording custom hand poses. I understand it is not currently in the supported list, but can anyone confirm is this is an oversight, or will I need to get a 40-series for now?
Controlling Meta Quest 3 from PC
Hello! There are five Meta Quest 3s headsets with a same apk made in Unity (diorama scenes without interactivity). Is it possible to control all these headsets from one PC? For example, an operator presses a button on a laptop and the next scene loades on all headsets. It is also desirable that a video from a scene camera goes to a PC.
