Oculus Quest 1 – Can't find the right app for PC connection
Hello everyone, I have an Oculus Quest 1 (first generation) and want to connect it to my PC. The main issue is that I can't seem to find or figure out which specific app is currently needed for this. The official Oculus app no longer seems to support Quest 1, and I'm confused about the alternatives. Could you please advise: What specific application is the working solution for connecting a Quest 1 to a PC nowadays? I've heard about Virtual Desktop, SideQuest, possible older versions of Oculus PC software, but I don't understand what exactly to look for or where to download it safely. Is there a reliable method (step-by-step guide or tutorial) for setting up the connection specifically with this headset? What difficulties or "pitfalls" might I encounter during the process? I would be very grateful for any concrete information or links! Thank you.
Boundary should have certain heights depending on where furniture is
when making a boundary that you should stay in, you should be able to change the height of it so it is not in the way of your face and you know where certain furniture is depending on the height and not being a wall so it is easier to not hit stuff
Why on earth can I not gift a subscription to gorilla tag to my 12-year-old?
My son who recently got a Meta quest almost exclusively for gorilla tag was very excited to find out about the new fan club subscription plan. Yet there is no way to purchase the subscription for him or gift it to him after speaking to several Meta employees. It makes no sense that I could monitor his account, purchased things for him, share them with him, even purchase, shiny rocks, but not approve a subscription on my own personal card for him. Similarly, it could be possible to purchase shiny rocks each month, which could be used to pay for the subscription, but that isn’t allowed either. I think this is a huge oversight and should be fixed.
Bring Back the Oculus Home!!
While I understand the need for performance optimization, removing the Home environment entirely has removed a core layer of the PCVR ecosystem, the trophy and decoration system. PCVR users have the hardware overhead to support these environments. By forcing us into the minimalist Void Menu Meta has removed the incentive to collect in-game items and interact with the platform UI. Please consider bringing back a persistent, customizable "Home" for Link and Rift users who want more than just a 2D menu. How come you guys gave Quest cool 3d environments and PCVR users are stuck with some weird Interface. And if the Quest 1/2 can't run it then turn it off by default for them. I'm just saying Oculus Home used to feel more futuristic then the "Modern" Dash Menu ever has. Again Meta please consider bringing back what made Oculus Link special.
Willkommensbonus – geht das nur mir so?
Hallo zusammen, ich bin seit Kurzem neuer Meta-Quest-3-Nutzer und wollte mal in die Runde fragen, wie eure Erfahrungen als Neukunden waren. Ich habe mir vor Kurzem eine Quest 3 gekauft und seitdem bereits über 100 € für Spiele und Zubehör im Meta Quest Store ausgegeben, weil mir das Spielerlebnis wirklich richtig gut gefällt. Besonders das gemeinsame Spielen begeistert mich so sehr, dass ich aktuell sogar darüber nachdenke, mir eine zweite Quest 3 zu holen, um gemeinsam mit meinem Sohn spielen zu können. Was mich allerdings etwas überrascht hat: Ich habe bislang keinerlei Willkommensvorteile erhalten – keinen Testmonat für Meta Quest+, keinen Gutschein, keinen kleinen Rabatt oder Ähnliches. Mir ist klar, dass es darauf keinen Anspruch gibt, aber bei einer Hardware-Investition in dieser Größenordnung (erst recht, wenn man perspektivisch zwei Geräte kauft) hätte ich zumindest ein kleines Einstiegsangebot erwartet. Mich würde interessieren: Ging das nur mir so oder hatten andere Neukunden ähnliche Erfahrungen? Gab es bei euch Willkommensangebote – automatisch oder erst nach Nachfrage? Findet ihr, Meta sollte Neukunden hier etwas stärker abholen? Ich frage das ausdrücklich konstruktiv, weil mir die Plattform wirklich Spaß macht und ich sie gern langfristig nutzen möchte. Gerade für Familien- und Multiplayer-Setups wäre ein kleiner Anreiz am Anfang aus meiner Sicht ein starkes Signal. Bin gespannt auf eure Erfahrungen und Meinungen. Viele GrüßeENHANCE
Hello. I bought the Meta Quest S a month ago and for brain health I installed the ENHANCE app and it was perfect. Until two days ago when the menu appears but the game library doesn’t load. It’s an app that has been out for years and the comments are from a few months to a year ago. I would like to know if they have shut it down or if it’s a temporary problem. Unable to use Quest Cash or add any credit cards
Hello! I am CrimsonWinterr, and I would like to share how I cannot add any credit cards (I have none on my Quest account as of now.) nor use my Quest Cash. It says to file an appeal, but it doesn’t send an e-Mail to file one, whenever many sources say it should. It says it is for my own security- when it is on my account, on my headset? This is unbelievable. It does not say there is one single strike to my account that prevents me from doing so! Please fix this instantly if you read this, Meta.
