Still happeningOcearna1 hour agoGuest0likes0CommentsMy Meta Quest 3 no longer charges but I have a Meta Quest 2 that still works, can I...?
I'm asking as it turns out that the Meta Quest 3 has had a massive issue with the charging bay. I'm keeping my opinions to the side but to have a warranty run out rather quickly and to also add parts that work in a lackluster manner is rather messed up....apparently letting someone become a trillionaire is more important over having a goal of having a great customer respect and to produce decent workmanship in your products that you are selling. ---------------- Okay, now that my 'vent' is out now, my Son's Quest 3 stopped charging five months ago and we just put it off once I found out that his extremely short warranty expired and I would apparently need to spend $70+ to have a simple charging port ordered...much less replaced. As I'm MCSE trained and as I work as a computer technician as a hobby, I think that I have the skill to be able to change the part but that would require me to open up the headset and remove quite a bit to change what should have been an easy fix. I'm asking rather upset that this is even an issue but may I ask, just how much would it be for me to ship my headset to ANYWHERE that is Meta Quest certified or okay to work on the headset and have my son's Quest 3 work once again. Since he didn't really use it much when it worked, it may be of the set that I heard about that were plagued with this very issue but if it is from this very set, a simple notice or heck, some help offered for when this issue MAY arrive would be nice to have issued. But grudgingly, just how much overpriced will I need to pay to help my son with this issue. I care more about his happiness during the summer than to simply throw out the headset out of my utter disgust for the owner's ideology. ------------------------------------- A side option, I do still have a Quest 2 and although the left "Grip" button's 'spring' broke in the right controller, I COULD take the charging port out of the Quest 2 and place it into the Quest 3 on my own. I could just fix the Quest 2 later on with the ordered part but he would have a working Quest 3 today...if this is at all possibe. Without taking the device apart from within, it would make a lot of sense financially to use a lot of the same parts and only change a small part of the hardware to upgrade between versions.Pmbacker12 hours agoHonored Guest0likes3CommentsWaiting since 3 montths battery and left controllers under warranty : it's a shame !
Hello, I am writing this post as a last resort because I am completely stuck in an automated loop with the support team, and I need a human being to actually look into my case. Here are the facts: Issue: Left Meta Quest controller battery failure (device still under warranty). Action taken: Following support instructions, I shipped my left controller and its battery back to the repair center in mid-March 2026 (nearly 3 months ago). Current status: I have received absolutely no updates regarding my replacement. Every single week, I receive automated, AI-generated emails telling me that my case is "under review" and that the team is "working on it." This has been going on for 12 weeks. No real person is actually handling my file. I have already filed an official complaint with the French consumer protection agency (SignalConso) and sent a formal legal notice (mise en demeure), but the support tickets keep looping automatically. Could a Community Manager please step in, escalate this ticket to a real human operator, and ship my replacement controller? My Case Number is: 09298950 PO : 462811443586921 Shipping Date: Mid-March 2026 Thank you for your help.0likes2CommentsCannot play VR games on PC
Hello, I was looking to see if someone could help me with accessing my Steam games through the Oculus 3 headset. I was playing Into The Radius 2 with a friend. I noticed my connection kept lagging or disconnecting which means my Wi-Fi must not be able to keep up with the game. I then was told to use Link Cable by Meta to connect through hard wire through my PC. I went out and bought the $80 cable for it to not allow me to play the game I want to play. I connect the cable, and log into the Oculus. I go to the Steam Link to access my games but it says I have to be connect to steam link via wire-less. I don't want this because of my internets Wi-Fi. I tried googling multiple different ways to fix but cannot figure out how to get around this.Lyink3 hours agoGuest0likes6CommentsQuest 2 bricked after updating it to 2.4v
So I recently found my Quest 2 headset laying around on a case after not touching it for over 1-2 years, and I got in the mood to try VR again. It was working just fine, however, I noticed it wanted to me to update it, and so I updated it. After updating however, it's now bricked, it's booting just fine but the main screen is now flickering between the gray thingy from the cameras and the main menu. The controllers also keep turning on and off and the headset seems to be heating up quite a bit. I tried many things such as: Updating firmware with ADB using the sideload update option Updating the headset again using Meta's website Factory restting All of which had no success, so I really appreciate any help with this.0likes1Comment[PTC v2.4] Quest 3 — tracking lost every ~5 seconds after update
After updating to PTC v2.4, my Quest 3 has constant tracking issues. Every 5 seconds the headset loses room tracking — the view flickers and jumps, and it says it cannot determine position in the room. Before this update, tracking worked perfectly. Steps I have already tried: - Factory reset - Cleared boundary history and redrew Guardian - Cleaned cameras and proximity sensor - Opted out of PTC None of these helped. The issue started immediately after the PTC v2.4 update and is 100% reproducible. Device: Meta Quest 3 Firmware: PTC v2.4 Please advise — is there a way to revert to stable firmware, or is a fix coming in the next build?Blinchik22810 hours agoHonored Guest1like6CommentsAge things
I got an email from meta saying that a child under the age of 13 is using my headset (i made another account for my little sister) and that it will suspend my account on June 21 2026 if I don’t confirm my age. However, I am older than 13 (my sister isnt and we used her number to sign it up) and I tried to confirm my age but the link just puts me on a page to sign in and when I do it doesn't let me do anything but change my language? How do I confirm my age?DjCoolTx013 hours agoHonored Guest0likes2CommentsQuest 3 Really slow charging since 2.4 update
Hi all, Hope you are all keeping well. My Quest 3 was working perfectly..... until it updated to v2.4 Now 3 different chargers (100w, 65w & 40w) take nearly 24 hours to charge the Q3 from 19% to 100%. Each charger is working perfectly with every other device I plug in to them. The cables I use are rated up to 100w charging. The 100w charger I have been using with my Q3 for around 18 months now and never had an issue until the Q3 updated to v2.4. It still charges my BOBOVR batteries using BOBOVR's charging dock (the docks display screen show it pulling 90w's to charge the 3 batteries). Up until the Q3 updated to v2.4 when I connectect the charger the power light on my Quest turned soild orange until it fully charged then turned green. Since the update when I connect any of the 3 chargers the light flashes orange for a few minutes then turns soild orange. I have done a few things recommended in other forum posts, hold the power and volume- key for 30 seconds to power cycle it. Holding down the volume key when starting up (think is goes in to the developer type menu where you can fatory reset your headset) and selected shutdown from in there. I've even went as far as doing a factory reset. None of these help. As I type this I have it connected to a 40w charger, it has been charging (powered off) 2 hours 37 minutes and it has went from 71% to 75%. I don't have the orginal charger that came with it as it died around 5 months after buying the Q3. Reported it to Meta and they sent me a link to buy a new charger. Anyone know of anything else i can try or how to downgrade the OS to 2.1 please? I really don't want to have to spend more money on a new quest 3. Thank you in advance for any help given.FPC7616 hours agoProtege0likes4CommentsQuest3 stops charging at 74%
Now at V2.4.1034 Build 5216847.4360.520 installed Jun 2 2026. No updates pending. This problem started sometime in the last few months and I decided to try to get it fixed. When I discharge from usage to 28% it will change to 70% in 3 hours and then stops around 74% even with 12 more hours on the charge adaptor only (Ankor). I performed extensive troubleshooting, including: Charging directly from a 45W USB-C PD charger. • Charging through the Meta dock using the same 45W charger. • Testing multiple USB-C cables. • Disconnecting all accessories, including the battery strap. • Collecting ADB diagnostics and battery/power dumps. • Generating and submitting bugreports to Meta. I turned off auto power on for update, and turned off cloud backups to avoid any power usage while I have the headset powered down and charging. • Performing a complete factory reset by Meta request • Testing the headset after the factory reset without reinstalling any third-party applications. But still fails to charge above 74% The issue persists after the factory reset. ADB diagnostics consistently reported: AC powered: true • Weak Charger: false • USB-PD charging negotiated at 9V / 3A • Battery health reported as good • Battery temperatures generally in the 36–38°C range during charging Waiting for Meta Support to respond. Anyone having this kind of charging problem? Suggestions? Rrickmalm17 hours agoHonored Guest0likes0Comments
