It looks like there isn’t an account associated with (My email)
So I have a quest 2 and I haven’t used it in a long time. (Around 2 years) Getting back on it at a new house (new internet connection) and get the message that I had been logged out and need to re log back in. Now I still have the app on my phone and when powering up the headset my app connected to my quest. But it still wants me to enter the code on meta and put in my email. When I try to do this I get this error code (It looks like there isn’t an account associated with and then my email) I know it’s the right email because I’ve logged in to everything I can with that email to test it and even looked on the app to see what email was on it. I haven’t changed the email so that’s not the issue. I’ve read through some of the forms and through the help through meta but haven’t been able to fix this issue. I’ve restarted the headset multiple times and done a 30 second power on off a 1 minute and 5 minute. I really don’t want to factory reset the headset or make a new account being that I spent hundreds of dollars on games and countless hours playing them. Hello, my Meta account was previously bound to a phone number, but now I am unable to receive the two-factor authentication code via my phone number. I need your assistance. Could you please advise me on what materials I need to provide to assist in proof? Thank you0likes0CommentsOculus Rift S Failing Headset Sensor Check
I put up a post on reddit about this too but sadly haven't found a solution yet. My friend recently gave me his old oculus rift s, he'd been meaning to sell it but just never got around to it. Itd been sitting in his car for a couple months but theres no visual damage. It also didn't come with any instructions and he doesnt remember how to set it up because he hadnt used it in ages. I updated all my drivers on my pc and graphics card (nvidia geforce 3060) and it keeps getting stuck on the Headset Sensor Check. This model didn't come with external sensors. My pc recognised the oculus as two separate audio outputs but no video outputs. Ive paired the controllers just fine but Ive tried EVERYTHING to get it through the sensor check. Tried all my usb ports (two 3.0 ports and even my 2.0 ports just out of desperation and to say I had tried) tried all display ports (including the one normally reserved for my monitor) Updated windows updated graphics card drivers USB port drivers are up to date I have no background recording software like nvidia shadowplay that would impact it deleted and reinstalled the meta link app three times, restarting my pc each time. bought a powered USB 3.0 hub that has a data cable that plugs into my 3.0 slots in the hopes that it just needed more juice than my chipset was providing (the sensor tests lasted much longer since I've been using this, but otherwise no change in result) What else can I do before I just give up and chuck it in the eWaste? The display port test came up with no errors and its happy that im using the correct usb port and type. This last window sometimes tells me that the DisplayPort is not connected but the initial screen always gives me the green ticks even if I don't change anything. Is there no way to find an error code or more detail than just "sensors can't track headset"? I've skipped the device setup and tried to just go into guardian setup to see if I can get more information and when I put on the headset I see two coloured lines on the floor that appear or disappear depending on how I interact with the controllers, and there's a small loading symbol in the centre of my view. those two coloured lines appear on the floor and when I move my head it tracks the movement perfectly, but just won't display anything more than that. I'm running Windows 11 and my Rift S firmware version is 2.2.0 if that helps anything.Snizzlington6 hours agoHonored Guest0likes2CommentsPro controllers still not updating, and totally unusable
I bought the pro controllers for my son for his Oculus 3, and its still not updating the controllers. There holding steady at 0% for a day and a half. I could understand if this was an off brand controller from a different company, but these controllers are from your company, which are supposed to pair and update with your VR headset. I seen tons of topics on the same issue. If i can shell out a couple hundred dollars for your controllers, as least you can do is make sure your IT team has a solid product leaving the warehouse. I looked everywhere, and i did everything from factory resetting the head set and controllers to deleting and re downloading the app to make sure the current app version is being used. This issue has been going on for over a year, why isnt there a firmware fix?? Im about to return these bricked controllers.joseph.cruz.3998268 hours agoExplorer0likes24CommentsFactory reset dark pattern
Urgent: Gifted Headset Bricked by Factory Reset - No Controller, No Setup, No Warranty Help! Hey everyone, I'm reaching out to the Meta community today because I'm completely stuck and frankly, pretty frustrated with Meta's support. I recently received a 512 GB Meta VR headset as a gift. It was just the headset itself, no controllers. When I powered it on, I saw it still had the previous owner's account on it. Wanting to do the right thing and start fresh, I immediately performed a factory reset. And that's where everything went sideways. Now, the headset is permanently stuck on a "Sync Controller" screen. There's absolutely no way to bypass it, no workaround, nothing. It's just a digital brick. I contacted Meta Customer Service, hoping for a solution. Their response? My only options are to buy a brand new headset (which I just got, so no thanks!) or purchase new controllers for $150. This is completely unacceptable. I have a perfectly good, under-warranty headset that's unusable because of a setup flaw, and Meta's solution is to make me spend more money. This isn't a case of damage; it's a fundamental issue with the factory reset process that renders the device useless without an accessory I don't have. It feels like Meta isn't honoring the warranty in any meaningful way if their "fix" is to force an additional purchase. There should be some sort of basic functionality for all these headset only for sale items on Ebay and Amazon instead of holding the product hostage with a $150 controller purchase bounty. Has anyone else encountered this? Is there some trick I'm missing to bypass this screen, or a way to get a single controller just for setup without shelling out $150? This is a huge barrier for new users, especially those receiving headsets as gifts. Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated. I'm hoping someone from Meta sees this and can offer a real solution. This could definitely be fixed with a firmware change. Hi, I've observed a consistent issue with Meta Quest Link (tested with Quest 3 and Windows 11 PC): Scenarios: Internet available (PC online): → Headset connects instantly via Air Link or cable. Everything works flawlessly. No internet (PC offline): → Headset gets stuck during connection with black screen, the Meta logo and controller lasers, then freezes — never reaches the desktop. Link app on the PC shows that the headset is connected Internet available during Meta Link app launch, then disconnected: → Headset connects normally, even after internet is lost. This suggests that the Meta Quest Link app requires internet during startup, likely for authentication. Once it's launched with internet, it works fine even after going offline. Request: Please consider allowing the Meta Link app to start without internet for local-only use. This would greatly help users in offline or secure network environments. Thanks!PointySeal696719 hours agoHonored Guest1like1CommentLeft controller

Hello, Have been experiencing issues with my Meta Quest 3S controllers and the uncontrollable drifting issues. Using games on it, such as WIN Reality and Golf+. The issue is really bad with using the WIN Reality game. I've done the following: Factory Reset on the VR Headset, Unpaired / paired the controllers, recalibrated both controllers, and uninstalled / reinstalled both games. Reached out to WIN Reality Support, who had made an adjustment to how the game would set up. They have since reverted back to their original setup. I pulled out my Oculus 2 headset, charged it, and added new batteries to the controllers. Launched the WIN Reality App to see if the controller using the Short Bat attachment would have the same drifting issue. It did not; I used it with no issues at all. Didn't even have to recalibrate either controllerLou_v196522 hours agoHonored Guest0likes1Comment4 days trying to get link to work!!!! OMFG
it blows my mind how difficult it is to get a simple thing (cable link) to work. ive gone through debug tools, new cables, updates, i even tried to switch to beta hoping they somehow had a fix in the new beta update! no, ive spent upwards of 10 to 20 hours trying to solve this, its rediculous how well the quest 3 works and the hardware being so good but meta cant even put a decent linking app together. the other thing that pisses me off is that this is a known issue ive seen in 10 to 20 reddit/oculus form posts. meta wtf, please just fix this issue its not my job to fix it after spending 500 dollars on the hardware. i have been deving my own apps and i can build and flesh out a basic app in the time it takes me to get a pre developed app to simply link to my quest. its super frustratingRavvit1xl22 hours agoHonored Guest1like2Comments
