Can't un/pair controllers to Meta 3 Headset
Hi, I have about 20 Meta Quest 3 headset. I mostly develop for them hands free, so I don't care about the controllers at all. The things is all the controllers got mixed up. I want to do factory reset on many devices but I can't proceed without pairing some controllers, but they don't pair because they are paired to hell knows what device with hell know which account. I need to re-pair them without accessing original account as it mentioned in support: https://www.meta.com/help/quest/967070027432609/ Also this factory reset method for the controllers don't work too: Quest 3 controller pairs but none of the buttons work - 1107964 Please help me solve this controllers hell.
Quest Pro: Controller pairing failure after factory reset & stuck at 5-digit code screen
I am experiencing a severe issue where my Right Quest Pro Controller completely refuses to pair. Through various troubleshooting methods, I managed to bypass the initial 5-digit code screen and successfully connected the headset to the Meta Horizon app. However, the controller pairing still fails. There is absolutely zero physical damage to the controller or headset. This happened after an official firmware update bug. Here are the detailed symptoms and the exhaustive list of troubleshooting steps I have already performed: 1. The Symptoms The controller LED endlessly loops: White (standby) → Blue → Green → Blue. When attempting a firmware update, it flashes Purple/White but abruptly crashes and returns to White. Hardware vibration works, indicating a software-level block. 2. Basic & Hardware Resets (Failed) App pairing results in a Timeout error. Manual pairing (Meta + B) vibrates but fails to connect. 15-second hard reset (until Amber light) & 60-second button hold for capacitor drain: Both failed. Controller Factory Reset (A+Meta / X+Menu): Successfully triggered the Red/White alternating LED, but pairing still fails afterward. 3. Network & Environment Isolation (Failed) Forced a 2.4GHz mobile hotspot connection and turned off the 5GHz router to prevent internal Wi-Fi interference. Covered the proximity sensor with tape to prevent the headset from sleeping during the update phase. 4. App & ADB Debugging (Critical Findings) Unpaired from the smartphone's Bluetooth list and completely cleared the Meta Horizon app cache/data. Headset Factory Reset: Performed multiple times via the Android Recovery Menu. CRITICAL LOG: I ran the adb shell dumpsys bluetooth_manager command. The controller's MAC address is entirely missing from the headset's bonded devices list. Attempted adb shell pm clear com.oculus.controllerpairing and adb shell setprop persist.bluetooth.btsnoopenable true, but encountered permission/SecurityException errors. I didn't write it down here, but I've tried many things on the Meta Quest developer hub and have seen the logs, but I can't seem to solve it myself at the moment Is there anything else I can try
Quest 1 connecting to meta horizon app but stuck on safety screen
Hi, i recently got a pair of quest 1s and i have been trying to connect them to my phone so i can get them set up on my pc. I followed what the app and headset said to do. But whenever i reached the safety explaination page I get stuck there. There is this 1 minute long video and it just keeps looping, and i can't click anything. I can either mute the volume, skip the video, return to the previous step, or just back out completely from the setup and have to start over again. If someone has a solution for this or knows of a fix, please let me know.Need Help: 2fA and Meta App login
First i have to say, this is not my meta horizon email. Following problem: Since a couple moths, i lost my old smartphone as its screen got destroyed. I have no baclup for the 2fA code there. Everytime i want to log into anything with this account, it doesn't work. If i ask on the official support site with 2fA, it just says there is no support for my model available. I accepted defeat a long time ago, but i want to try this one still. I can give all my info, passport, name, current age, address, everything, i just want to get app support back. Kind regards Fabian
Controllers no longer work after a week without use
I recently bought a used Meta Quest 3s, it had no problems whatsoever, it was actually working perfectly! The original owner had used it for just a few months. (I did check everything, it was in perfect condition) Anyway, i used it for a few weeks, played a few games, once again (i cannot state this enough) it was working perfectly. One day, after playing with it, i charged it and let it rest on my shelf for a week Yesterday i thought "Oh well, i wan't to play some VR Games", so i put it on, it updated and suddenly it wasn't detecting my controllers anymore. They wouldn't turn on when i grabbed them and the meta app said they were disconnected. I changed the batteries, nothing worked. I cleaned the battery ports, nothing changed. I un-paired them (with the meta app) and now they couldn't 100% pair. The LEDs would flicker, but wouldn't vibrate (even after a billion seconds) nor finish connecting. (It would even display a little UI on my vr saying the controller was updating, but after that, radio silence) And if i left the pairing screen, it would display that my controller was paired, but again, wouldn't work. Problem is, after i did that, the left controller STOPPED working. LEDs wouldn't show up anymore and it wouldn't pair at all. I've done everything i've seen online (cleaning, changing batteries etc) but it just doesn't work anymore. As a last resort, i decided to factory reset my VR. How do you guys think it turned out? Anyways, here i am.. Stuck in the pairing screen because my controllers just don't want to work anymore. TLTR: VR was working. I stopped using it for a week. It updated. Now left controller died and right controller doesn't want to pair properly (and doesn't work) + i'm stuck in the pairing sectionI can't connect to headset from my meta app
I need to pair a new controller to my headset since there is one broken. For this I need to go to the META app on my phone and go to the "Headset settings" but I am unable to because it won't connect to my headset??? Strange is that I can Cast from the headset to my mobile, so there is a connection? Is there another way to pair my new controller? Also tried using the PC but no option for pairing a controller (button is not working there)Quest 3 Freezes during Gameplay
I am trying to play some of my games using the Meta/Oculus Horizon Link. I have had a Link Cable for a lot of years and the software has given me issues here and there yet nothing massive. Recently I have run into a massive problem. Whenever I begin to play my games, my headset will freeze with a still frame as my vision. This happens a minute or two have passed by. I can still hear the in game audio. When I look to my pc to see if it's the same thing as my headset, it shows that I am completely fine. My hands and headset are still being tracked and I can still interact with the vr world itself. I am all up to date on my drivers and windows updates as well as the Meta/Oculus Software itself. I am completely lost as to what is happening and how to fix it myself. If someone can help me, then I would be grateful.
Meta quest pro controller not powering on
My meta quest pro controller was completely fine 2 days ago, but when I took it off of the charger today there were no lights on or anything, I tried pressing the trigger, nothing, the menu button, nothing, I messaged suppport and they said that i could get a replacement for $134.99. Could it be battery failure? Because I am desperate and I do not want to pay the price
