Left Controller not working
I was not using my quest 3 for 1 month , the left controller now is not working . I already tried to change battery and factory rest quest 3. I can see the controller is paired . When in controller calibrate menu, the left controller joystick is working but there is no pointer when I switch between meta and menu button then the menu button is working as meta button. So I was having issues connecting to my Wi-Fi and I read from a past Wi-Fi issue that doing a Factory Reset will fix it. So I performed one and not only did it not fix my issues, I now can't finish the set-up because I still can't connect to my Wi-Fi. When I would try to connect it would say "saved/incorrect password or try again later" I retyped the password 7 times and rebooted my router twice. It doesn't help that when I was performing the V78 firmware update, my VR full on crashed but downloaded the update, and ever since then I've been having really dumb issues with my VR, like my store not loading and my microphone not being detected in calls, voice messages, and Speech to Text.Aquanoss7 hours agoHonored Guest0likes1CommentTypeError: Cannot read property 'type' of undefined on Meta Horizon App - Quest 3S Pairing Issue
Hello everyone, I'm experiencing a critical issue with my new Meta Quest 3S and the Meta Horizon mobile app, and I'm unable to pair my headset. Whenever I try to initiate the pairing process from the app, it displays the following error message: TypeError: Cannot read property 'type' of undefined I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps, but the issue persists: Restarting the Meta Horizon app. Restarting my smartphone (Android). Clearing app cache and data for Meta Horizon app. Reinstalling the Meta Horizon app. Restarting the Meta Quest 3S headset. Trying the pairing process on another smartphone (same error occurred). Ensuring both the smartphone and Quest 3S are on the same Wi-Fi network (5GHz band). Ensuring Bluetooth is enabled on the smartphone and the devices are close. Since the error appears on multiple devices, I suspect it's either an issue with my Meta account, the Quest 3S headset itself, or a deeper problem with the Meta Horizon app's server-side interaction. I am unable to proceed with the initial setup and use my Quest 3S. I have also tried reaching out to Meta Support directly through their website, but I am unable to connect to a live chat agent. Has anyone encountered this specific TypeError before during the initial Quest 3S setup or pairing? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. A few days ago, I was playing VR table tennis on my Quest 3. I took the headset off for a drink of water, and when I put it back on, the screen went black. I did a forced restart, and it showed a screen with a progress bar. After the progress bar completed, the usual boot animation played. However, once the animation finished, the screen went black again. I forced a reboot again, but this time it entered USB UPDATE MODE. None of the options on the screen are responsive — selecting any of them just brings me back into USB UPDATE MODE. I also can’t connect it to my PC. I’ve seen that others who experienced the same issue were able to get a replacement through their retailer or Meta support. However, I’m located in China and bought my Quest 3 through Amazon Global (Amazon’s international shopping service). The original seller is Amazon US, but the customer service for Amazon Global told me they cannot provide after-sales support for this issue and advised me to contact Meta directly. I really want to know: what should I do in this situation? Why can’t Meta authorize third parties to handle repairs or replacements for cases like this? I'm trying to connect to my computer, but a few seconds in it just disconnects, for no discernable reason, and always to unplug and replug to connect, which also doesn't work. I'm wondering if I'm being stupid and forgetting something or if it broke or what. Air Link can connect after a few minutes, but not cable. Also this was after turning my computer off and on to resolve some problems with all the audio stuff for my headset just stopped working. Turning my VR headset off and on did nothing. The VR app my computer was running is called VR chat and no sound could transmit or be received. Also during that moment it felt like my VR headset was doing the processing because it was heating up a lot when usually it didn't. I have the 3 and the 3s Xbox edition. I have to send the controllers in for warranty replacement and wanted to use the Xbox edition touch controllers on my quest 3. I have found they will not pair.
