Meta Quest 3S not appearing in account
My quest 3s has stopped charging. I've tried everything in the troubleshooting list. When I go on the horizon app the device is shown as something I own, but when I log on to my meta account it says there's no devices. If I try to add one using the serial number it says support not available. Does anyone know how I can add it to my account? I can't find any way to contact meta directly. Was looking if it's possible for a return or exchange as it still on its 12 month warranty. Cheers0likes2CommentsAdding a second account to Quest 2.
I have my kids profile as an owner for a Meta Quest 2. I have been trying to add my profile to the Quest as an additional profile. I've tried multiple ways, multiple times and have been unsuccessful. If i attempt to send a code to the email I use for the account, click add profile, it gives me an error that says, "Device missing owner - The expected owner for this device is missing". Even though it has 'Add your profile to XXX headset' right in the email, so to me its recognizing the headset account holder. If I try to add the headset to my profile through my account on the Horizon app using the 5-digit pairing code it also fails and gives me the error that the device already has an owner. I'm also having a hard time contacting support to submit a ticket through my account because my account isn't associated with a device. Has anyone run into these problems? Every time I deal with this Quest it becomes overly frustrating as nothing ever seems to work right with the system.0likes1CommentLink cable issues
Hi all, I just got a Quest 3, and was using a link cable. It tested fine, and I tried it out on a shooter game, worked fine. Tried it out on Assetto Corsa, worked fine. Then, in setup, I saw it was asking me if I wanted to use Horizon Link as the runtime for Openxr, I stead of SteamVR. After that, I would get about 20 feet out of the pit on AC, and I would get black jagged lines in my peripheral, and things would get choppy. I feel that I should have just left it using SteamVR, how can I change back? Alternatively, I noticed that my wheel and pedals are plugged into the same 3.1 header as the link cable. Is it possible that SteamVR has no problem with that, but Horizon Link doesn't like it? TIALink connection get freezed
ENG: Since the major OS update, the Link cable connection has been failing and randomly disconnecting for a moment, freezing the VR image and making it impossible to reconnect without fully restarting the PC. I mainly use the headset for sim racing (iRacing, LMU), and this happens quite frequently. My headset settings are not aggressive. After several attempts and configuration changes, it can sometimes last a few hours without issues, but then it suddenly freezes again. The game and the headset itself continue working — I can still see on the monitor that the headset movements are being tracked in-game — but I cannot see anything through the headset anymore. I do not currently use an official Link cable (although I have ordered the official €80 cable to test whether it solves the issue), but I never experienced problems like this before. Everything started after the major Meta OS update. Since then, I have also experienced zombie processes that would not close properly, causing the image to run at 2 FPS and leading to crashes. Now this. Y ahora esto...Currosport1 day agoHonored Guest3likes7CommentsQuest 2 Link (via cable) repeatedly crashing, requiring restart
Hey there, I've started having this issue pretty randomly after moving my setup to a new place. I use the link cable to connect my Quest 2 to my computer to play PCVR. However, every 5-10 minutes, the game will freeze and lag out for a while. I have to either unplug and replug my headset or go into the quest 2 menu and restart link for it to get fixed. The view inside the headset will glitch out severely if I turn my head too far from the original position, which is shown in the picture. I'm on my latest drivers, latest meta quest link app, latest quest 2 update, everything, and this is the only issue I'm having with link or the quest 2 in general. It's pretty frustrating and makes most games kinda unplayable. Any help would be greatly appreciated! No matter what i do i cannot fix this error which makes my rift s unusable. Basically in the middle of playing a game ovrserver/meta quest link crash breaking the connection between the headset and my game. the game continues, but my headset freezes for a second, goes black, and loads back into the meta quest link dashboard. i have to close my game manually and reload it through the dashboard to get the headset to pick up the game again. really inconvenient when trying to use the headset for sim racing which is 90% of the reason i even care to continue trouble shooting this issue. i already lost my library of games i had from meta changing from oculus and sending emails with deadlines to migrate your account. i do not want my headset to become a paperweight because meta decides to push forced updates for legacy hardware I have ddu and reinstalled drivers/adrenalin Upgraded windows via win11 iso Uninstalled and reinstalled meta quest link Rolled back to older drivers and nothing is seemingly working I have message meta customer service about this issue for a months and they have been little help. every other message was from a different person who didnt read the email thread before responding the same generic fixes, curious if anyone in the community may have had a similar issue or could offer a potential fix Computer Type: Desktop GPU: xfx 7800 xt CPU: RYZEN 5 5600x Motherboard: asus rog strix b450-f BIOS Version: version 5801 RAM: 32GB CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB PRO 3000MHZ CL16 PSU: corsair rm850x Case: lian li o11-dynamic Operating System & Version: win 11 education 25h2 GPU Drivers: amd 25.9.1 Chipset Drivers: AMD B450 CHIPSET DRIVERS VERSION 7.08.02.123 Background programs and i have closed them but the games still crash Adrenaline Thermaltake Apollo Razer synapse Peace Icue Moza pithouse Meta quest link Steam Thats all i would generally have runningmeta15trash1 day agoHonored Guest0likes3CommentsI am unable to add some accounts to my headset
So I’ve been trying to add some accounts on my headset(Meta quest 3) because I share it with my kids, and I accidentally deleted an account before removing it from my headset. It isn’t allowing me to add any accounts and anytime I try to, it says “Something Went Wrong. There was a problem sending the invite, please try again later.” It’s been going on for days now and I can’t figure out why it’s happening or how to fix it. If I can get any information on how to fix this, it would help a ton.funkyguy.20263 days agoHonored Guest0likes3CommentsI can't add another profile

Hi, before the latest Quest OS update (April 2026) I was using Virtual Desktop over Ethernet via a USB-C hub (Baseus CAHUB-CW0G, Realtek RTL8153B chipset) and it worked great. After the update it stopped working completely. The interface (eth0) shows up and the hub is detected, but the Quest never gets an IP address — it just stays on IPv6 link-local and never connects. Virtual Desktop shows "Not in same local network". I spent several hours digging into this with ADB and found two things: The firmware file rtl_nic/rtl8153b-2.fw for the Realtek chip is missing — the driver logs an error on every connection attempt The DHCP client never actually starts — eth0 comes up but the Quest never sends a DHCP request to get an IPv4 address I tried everything I could without root: cmd ethernet set-ip-configuration eth0 dhcp, static IP, replugging the hub, different flag values — nothing works because the fix requires system-level access. This is affecting everyone using Ethernet with Virtual Desktop after this update. The Realtek RTL8153 chipset is by far the most popular one for these hubs so it's a wide impact. Please restore the missing firmware file and fix the DHCP provisioning for USB Ethernet interfaces. This worked perfectly before the update so it should be a straightforward fix.
