Connection to app issues
This might be lengthy... so buckle up. So I was playing beat saber and wanted to stream it to the app so my family could see what I was seeing. (I have recently got a new phone). I tried to connect to the headset from the app, but I kept getting the try again later. So I did what I normally do, search the internet for a solution. I came across the FAQ here on meta. They suggested to turn the headset off then back on, as well as the phone. So I did that. No solution or fix, next step? delete the app. and reinstall NO FIX. Tried to pair approximately 16 more times. NO F I X! Last suggestion BY META?!? Factory reset. NO FIX, but now I am stuck in set up mode on my headset and cannot get past the pairing on there. NEXT STEP?!? Reach out to meta chat (LOL).. The Lady was super friendly, which is new for me with the meta experience. She tried to get me to go through the steps again... guess what? NO FIX.. SO ultimately what is META's solution? Buy a new headset or phone and try again. This is where the rant begins.. I have had multiple Headsets, some with OG Oculus, and some with meta. I can say I miss Oculus with their support. Meta? LOL. So about two hours ago I was playing games, and after doing what they told me to do through official channels I now essentially have a paper weight. Needing to fork out $300+ to play again. They are trying to say since I'm out of warranty its on me.. And I would totally agree, IF I WASN'T DOING WHAT THEY SAID TO DO. Had I known I wouldn't be able to play anymore I wouldn't have messed with factory resetting the device. Basically this left a sour taste in my mouth with this company. And like most things, when a big company buys the small one things go down hill. Hopefully the Steam Frame releases on time because I think I'm jumping ship..0likes4CommentsLeft controller issue
My left controller keeps on randomly freezing me in game for a few seconds when trying to move forward no notification saying controller disconnected tried to give it a spray don’t know if it’s software update issue as haven’t played in a few weeksTTV_NatashaaaVR3 hours agoProtege0likes2Commentscontroller wont pair
Hi, I have this Meta Quest 2. It was working fine all this time. The battery is fully charged and is new. Yesterday it worked fine, but today when I woke up, none of the controllers worked. I factory reset it, but that didn't help. The controllers were paired but not working, so I unpaired them as I was told, and now they won't pair up again. They do nothing, and every time I go to support, it's like they copy and paste their messages. I will never buy another one of these devices again. There's literally no help at all. I can't call support, and I can't even enjoy my days off from work.Carlosbk36 hours agoHonored Guest0likes3CommentsLeft controller keeps disconnecting
Whenever I'm playing a game like blade and sorcery, every time I go to swing a punch or a weapon my controller disconnects for a second, vibrates, then reconnects. I've tried taking the battery out and putting it back in, unpairing and re-pairing, etc.floridaman10010 hours agoHonored Guest1like4CommentsNew Meta Quest 3 freezes and glitches after a few seconds when using Meta Link
Version number of software: I'm using the latest version of Meta Quest Link as of today (19th May 2025). I can't find the version number. Right-click on the "OculusClient.exe" file shows "0.1.0", which seems wrong. The product you’re using: Quest Link If this is related to standalone or Quest Link: Link Description of the issue: Attempting to load Quest Link, Steam VR in Quest Link or Elite Dangerous in Quest Link causes the display to freeze and glitch at the edges. The issue is sometimes delayed by a few minutes, but once it has occurred it does not seem to be recoverable without a reboot of the headset. This is a brand new device (arrived today) and I'm using the official £90 cable. Very disappointed. Screenshots that might apply The following photo was taken through the right-hand lens after it started glitching within Quest Link itself (before loading another app). Any additional information: I haven't seen the headset glitch when using it as a standalone device, so I believe this is an issue with Quest Link specifically. Any help would be welcome.CuriousSwordfish871018 hours agoExplorer3likes48CommentsMeta Quest Link Update: Link Launch Issue Resolved
Hi everyone, We recently identified an issue with Meta Quest Link unable to launch which caused users to be stuck in the app launch loading screen. We’ve now released an update that should resolve this problem. What’s changed: The main issue is fixed, and you should be able to use Meta Quest Link as expected. Please note: For now, you won’t be able to see your hands in Dash. However, raycasts are visible, and you should be able to interact with games and other content as usual. Thank you for your patience while we worked on this fix! If you continue to experience any issues, please let us know in the comments.Abdallah.hilali18 hours agoMeta Employee13likes148CommentsQuest 2 error GraphQL error 1675012
I was gifted a Quest 2 and did a factory reset once I was ready to start my setup. And I open my meta app and start adding the device. It gets to the end of finding it and pairing, telling me to put on the headset set, but then I get the error that the 1675012 device ID must be specified explicitly. I have reset so far 3 times and get the same result. I can see the headset in my profile, but I cannot access it to move forward.KingLothos1 day agoHonored Guest0likes17CommentsTwo-factor authentication problem
Hello, I am having trouble accessing my Meta account.I can log in with my email and password to my original account, but I am asked to enter a 2-factor authentication code that is sent to my old phone number. Unfortunately, I no longer have access to that phone number, and I also do not have any recovery codes.I still have full access to my email address linked to the account. I am using a Meta Quest 2 headset, and I would like to regain access to my account. Could you please help me reset or remove the two-factor authentication so I can log in again? If needed, I can provide proof of identity or device information. The left controller does not connect.
Hi, my Oculus Quest 2 controller won't connect. I've tried everything I've found online: changing the battery, unpairing and re-pairing them from the mobile app. The same thing always happens. When I connect it, it tries to update the firmware of the left controller, but it gets stuck. The controller constantly displays a flashing SOS signal, three long flashes, three short flashes, three long flashes. I've restarted the glasses, I've factory reset them, I think the problem is the failed update I suppose, but I'm in a loop where I've already tried everything.Jimimaquina3 days agoHonored Guest0likes2CommentsLink fails to connect, wired and wireless
I'm on 2.3, I tried with PTC enabled and disabled, both for headset and link client. I was able to get into link temporarily after disabling headset PTC, but after restarting my computer, back to the same issue. Clicking the link button in the headset starts connecting, then my pc makes the cable connect/disconnect sound, and it kicks me back to passthrough with the error that my headset is incompatible with the software version of my link software. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the link software twice now, and updated to PTC just in case, there should be no compatibility issues. I've tried different cables, I've factory reset my headset. I've tried wireless vs wired, and I get the same result.theLemonadeParty3 days agoHonored Guest1like5Comments
