Meta Quest 3s bluetooth LE-audio nonfunctional
Hi I found out you can connect LE-audio bluetooth earbuds to Meta Quest 3s. My problem is, it doesn't work at all. It connects but everything becomes super laggy and no audio at all when LE mode is enabled in bluetooth settings. I have Creative Zen Air Plus earbuds which supports LE audio when connecting to its' specific pairing name. When I do so, I can hear "LE connected... LE disconnected... LE connected... LE disconnected..." every couple seconds from the earbuds. Also everything on the Quest becomes like a 0.1fps slideshow until I disconnect the earbuds. When I connect the earbuds with normal bluetooth mode, everything works fine. Only problem is that games have 1-2s latency in audio. Videos (Youtube etc.) don't have delay because they sync with the audio. Is the bluetooth LE-audio mode still early experimental or is it supposed to work as intended already? Until it's resolved I can use wired earbuds with PD/audio usb-dongle. But then I lose smart funtionality of Elite battery strap. They charge the glasses fine but Quest settings doesn't tell how much there is charge left in the strap. Edit: I purchased EarFun Air Pro 4+ earbuds and they work flawlessly in LE-mode. Creative Zen Air Plus uses Mediatek chip which doesn't seem to be compatible. EarFun uses Snapdragon chip which works. At least that's the info I have been gathering from different sources. I hope this is of any help for anyone.Solvedmaster1up4 days agoExplorer0likes5Commentswhy won't this work, 300+ down the drain?
Hello, i bought this 3S and today I charged it up, turned it on, Hooked it to my wifi/internet And then it 'updated' and now it says to pair to meta horizon app, even gives a 5 digit code. I hooked it to my PC and tried to 'pair' it and nothing, it shows up on my link under devices but nothing, doesn't even ask for the code or anything. I tried to brig up menu with the meta button on my right controller, it shoes it loading then nothing, no menu or anything. I tried a reset, hard reset and even a factory reset, nothing still the same thing, is there something I am missing? and why is it impossible to get a live agent to help, that one has me thinking META should be sued and boycotted.Solvedmornu5 days agoHonored Guest0likes21CommentsQuest 2 orphaned after factory reset - backend device ID missing
I own a Meta Quest 2 I am having horizon link issues and a possible fix I read about was doing a factory reset and reconnecting my device. After performing the factory reset, the headset can no longer be paired to my account. Now finding this forum i see a lot of people are having connectivity issues but i put myself further away. Meta systems show: - No devices associated with my Meta account - Serial number starting with 1WMM returns “device not found” - Meta Quest mobile app throws GraphQLError 1675012 (OCDeviceProfilesManagerSurfaceQuery – Device ID must be specified) The Meta support website blocks ticket creation because there is no device record. This appears to be a backend device desynchronization / orphaned device issue. I am the first and only owner of this device. Requesting Meta staff escalation for manual backend device reassociation or resolution.SolvedCursivePizza435 days agoHonored Guest0likes7CommentsQuest Link stuck on purple screen after recent update (Quest 2 & Quest 3)
Hi, After a recent update, Quest Link is stuck on a purple screen and PCVR Home never loads. What’s happening: Meta PC App shows the headset as Connected / Active Inside the headset, Link starts but stays on the purple screen No PCVR Home environment appears Tested hardware: Quest 3 Quest 2 (Same issue on both) Tested PCs: Two different Windows PCs (Same behavior) What I already tried: Factory reset (Quest 3) Cable-only Link (Air Link off) Different USB ports (rear motherboard ports) Meta PC App service restart No SteamVR, no Unreal Engine running OpenXR runtime set correctly GPU forced via NVIDIA Control Panel Windows graphics scheduling disabled The issue persists in all cases. Important context: I am using Quest Link for PhD research and VR application development, and this issue is currently blocking my work. My questions: Is this a known regression in recent Horizon OS / Meta PC App updates? Has Meta acknowledged this issue? Is there an estimated fix timeframe or upcoming hotfix? Is there any official workaround at the moment? Thanks in advance.Solvedcouchpotato.1402806 days agoHonored Guest0likes6CommentsQuest Link / Air Link suddenly stopped working today – session never starts
Device: Meta Quest 3 OS: Windows 11 GPU: NVIDIA RTX 5080 Connection: Air Link and USB Link (same behavior) Quest Link (both Air Link and USB Link) was working normally for months and was working earlier today. After ending a session and starting another one, Link stopped working completely. The headset is detected, the session initializes, but it freezes on the grey/purple Link screen and never reaches VR Home. Eventually the session drops or returns to the headset home. This is not a USB issue, not a network issue, and not a headset pairing issue. Important facts Same hardware and setup working for ~4 months Worked earlier today No hardware change No Windows reinstall No BIOS change No GPU change What I already tried Reinstalled Meta Quest Link multiple times Factory reset the Quest 3 Removed all Oculus / Meta registry entries Clean GPU driver reinstall with DDU Downgraded NVIDIA driver Tested both Air Link and USB Link Repair installation Restarted all Meta/Oculus services Reconfigured the headset from scratch None of the above resolved the issue. Observed behavior PC app detects the headset Session enters VR mode Streaming loop starts Grey / purple Link screen appears No image is ever presented Session freezes or terminates This indicates the session is created, but the compositor never presents a valid frame. Relevant log behavior From Service.log and LinkClient.log (same timestamps): VR session initializes Streaming starts Frames may briefly decode Compositor or transport fails shortly after Errors such as: Failed to read display driver information Graphics adapter state UNKNOWN Elevated Shared Memory failed to initialize Error -1002 Registry/config access failures after reinstall This points to a runtime or compositor state failure, not user configuration. Key point This did not degrade gradually. It stopped working suddenly today after previously working normally. That strongly suggests a silent Meta runtime update or a runtime state corruption that reinstall does not fully reset. Request to Meta Please confirm whether there was a Quest Link / runtime update today Clarify how to perform a true clean runtime reset (not just reinstall) Confirm if there is a known issue with Link compositor initialization Provide a way to roll back the Quest Link runtime At the moment, Quest Link is completely unusable despite supported hardware and exhaustive troubleshooting. I can provide full Service and LinkClient logs with timestamps if needed.Solvedluizeduardoguaraldi6 days agoHonored Guest34likes88CommentsHorizon link not working
My Q3 was linking fine to my PC this afternoon, then literally an hour or two later, will not link. I'm using a usb 3.0 cable, it is in a USB 3 port, power management of USB port is set correctly. I get a notification saying 'Meta Quest Link isn't working correctly. Click here to check our support article'. There is no support article. I have restarted the headset and PC, repaired the Horizon app, logged out and back into the Horizon app, restarted the OVR service and I still can't get it to work. Anyone else having or had similar issues recently? I updated the Meta Quest App to the Meta Horizon version. Trying to pair my old Oculus Quest. The device is recognized. The code is accepted. I finished the whole process until I get to the final safety screen and there's no way to proceed from there - no OK/Continue button. Nothing. Is there anything I can do?SolvedNetRunner_2k7729 days agoExplorer0likes3CommentsCannot pair with the meta quest app - same 5 digit code
So i got a refurb meta quest 3 from the meta store on ebay. When it arrived, i tried to set it up - however, i am stuck on the screen where it asks to enter the code on my mobile app. I can see a 5 digit code on the quest - but entering that on the app shows 'couldn't pair with your headset'. So i tried several times, logged in and out the app, reinstalled the app, reset network settings on my iphone, tried a different phone - all failed. The strangest thing is, I have even reset the quest to factory settings over 5 times - and each time, the 5 digit code that shows up is always the same. This seems odd - as i would expect a new one each time. Has anyone else faced the same issue - and if so, what did you do? Thanks!Solvedmineshp1001 month agoExplorer0likes16CommentsFactory reset Quest 2, unable to re-pair headset.
Hello I have factory reset my Headset to try and solve a controller lag issue but now I am unable to re-pair my headset. It still shows up in the Meta app but when I try to add it again it just says "Pairing your Meta Quest 2" for about a minute and then says it can't pair with my headset. I have tried factory resetting again, re-installing the app on my iPhone, absolutely no joy at all. On my account online, it says I don't have any devices attached to my account but the app says otherwise. Any other help would be great. Thank youSolvedChrisM341 month agoExplorer1like5Comments
