Incompatible hardware but it should be fine?
Hello! I got this laptop for work in order to build VR training modules through Unity. Usually I would do this via the quest link but to my surprise, this error came up. My specs are: Lenovo Laptop - Windows 11 Intel(R) Core(TM) Ultra 7 255H (2.00 GHz) 32 GB RAM NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU (8 GB) Intel(R) Arc(TM) 140T GPU (16GB) (128 MB) My only guess is that its somehow detecting the integrated intel GPU and not the Nvidia 5060? If anyone has any insight on how to fix this, it would be hugely appreciated!Anyone else having Meta or Link login issues today?
Fired up my PC this morning, and was presented with a login screen for Link. Can't log in, says password or email address is incorrect (they're not). I'm still logged into my account on phone app and headset, but get errors in the "change password" process in the app (no signs of foul play in my account, I don't it's been compromised). I was able to log in to the forum without issue on my iPad. Finally got logged into the forum on my PC after trying for an hour (by editing the stuff out of the address bar after the domain name once it gave me the login error screen). Link is still stubbornly refusing to cooperate, although I confirmed I can still connect with Virtual Desktop. I guess that's my short-term solution, but it's frustrating trying to do development work when my usual tools and workflow won't play nice. Anyway, pretty sure it's a server-side problem, so I guess there's nothing I can do but wait and keep trying. EDIT: Finally got in, tried again and this time it redirected to the browser to complete authorization instead of asking me to enter my email and password in the Link interface. Yay.
Link (cable) loses connection during game
New Update - new issue ... Happens multiple times during gaming session, that Link just breaks. It´s throwing me back into the Quest Home, while my game on PC is still running. When I´m lucky, it is asking in Quest, if I want to reconnect Link, and then I´m back in the game. When I´m unlucky, Quest stucks in loading the Home, I can only hear the enviroment music, can´t do anything else and need to shutdown the Headset completely. Of course with no way to get back into game. It´s not a hardware issue. Tried it with two different cables, different USB-Slots and issue stays the same. AND issue occured right after Horizon Link Update. I can´t tell how the persistent problems are freaking me out. I still have performance issues and need to run on way lower resolution then I used to, to get a nearly smooth game. I still can´t stream, because Oculus Mirror is crashing the game performance completely. And now this. I want my smooth and nice performance from V83 back! Dear Meta | What happened?
I've been happily using my quest 2 for 2 out of 4 years in total. The first 2 years were great! everything in the program felt neccessary and cared for, bugs were looked after. Reports were reviewed, and updates felt like quality. There were ups and downs but in the end everything was fun. These past 2 years have been nothing but a downward spiral. The UI change is weird, Settings misplaced, Lying about support, buggy server statuses, and of course the complete issue of Meta Quest link. What happened? We've done everything the AI supporter did and still you find a new way for us to hack our rigs just so we can last a second longer than 30 minutes. My suggestion: please just go back to the stable versions of both the headset and link app. Your latest version of both are so "stable" they disconnect "so much less". In sarcasm of course. PLEASE Meta please just stick with the stable versions and MAINTAIN THEM. I love my quest 2. But i can't see myself playing much nowadays due to these bugs. Good luck Meta team.
Remote Link Resolution Issue
Was running the new menu update for several days and everything was working great. This morning, the remote desktop link no longer has ratio and density options, and my screen is stuck in an incorrect resolution. The drop down menu at the top that allows for more screens or ratio changes does not appear as well.
Controllers go to sleep after a second of inactivity due to the v2.1 update
I recently updated my Quest 3S to the latest stable version, and now my controllers start turning off after just 1–2 seconds of inactivity. I’ve tried restarting the headset and re-pairing the controllers, but nothing seems to help.
