[Workshop Series] Let's Build a F2P Multiplayer VR Game - Tiny Golf Tutorial

Hi everyone, I’m Quentin, XR Developer, creator of Valem Tutorials, and Meta Start Mentor 👋

Follow along a 3-part series covering all of the basics to build a multiplayer VR game in 4 hours, covering all the foundations for building Free-to-Play apps!

Over the past weeks, I’ve been working on a tutorial series for the Start community where we build a simple but very cool free-to-play multiplayer game called Tiny Golf in only 4 hours.

This project features a fully networked mini-golf experience with multiplayer interactions and Meta platform integrations. The series is divided into 3 workshops:

🎥 Let's Build a F2P Multiplayer VR Game: Part 1 - Multiplayer Foundation

Player connection flow and how to test a VR multiplayer game.

🎥 Let's Build a F2P Multiplayer VR Game: Part 2 - Gameplay Networking

Networked gameplay logic (ownership transfers, network variables, RPCs) and how to turn a single-player VR game into multiplayer.

🎥 Let's Build a F2P Multiplayer VR Game: Part 3 - Gameplay Networking

Meta Platform Features: Adding Meta platform integrations, Meta Avatars, leaderboards, in-app purchasing, and user info.

You can find the full project and documentation here: https://github.com/Meta-Horizon-Start-Program/Tiny-Golf

I hope these videos help anyone who wants to follow along and rebuild the project from scratch. If you run into issues or have questions, don’t hesitate to reach out. 😊
