AUDIO files Listing access PLEASE

Where can I find an easy to scroll and read (and play) copy of the AUDIO files in the DeskTop Editor? The way it is now is very cumbersome to scroll through and play individual files.

Surely, these Almost 300 are listed somewhere I can reach in a browser.

Thank you in advance.

  • This is a pretty simple request. Maybe a Mentor or non-Meta employee has a better idea of where to look. I am happy to go into more detail about why this is required for creating musical instruments in Horizon Worlds… And to add a level of humour to this serious question, here is an outtake from an upcoming Video Podcast.

  • There is also no way to preview the audio in the desktop editor like there was in the VR editor, is there? In the VR editor, if you hovered over a sound in the menu, you would hear it. I am finding that I need to drag it out into the world, open its properties, and hit play. And then if it's not right, delete the entity, and go back to the menu.

No need to bother Meta. As an obedient machine I have utilized the Macro Data Refinement Centre to determine the attached does exist in a work/life balance formula.

They seem to listen to you and have now provided what you asked for. Perhaps you could ask directly for SINGLE NOTE AUDIO INPUT and see what happens. Thanks Richard.

Berry, if you take a look at the sound asset library now in desktop editor, you will see a new preview interface when clicking on each asset. Hope this helps speed up your progress.

    • I appreciate you taking the time to bring this feature to our attention, but to be honest it is only a very marginal improvement.

Give me a CLI interface that produces a list of all single sounds (like a note, a fog horn, or clang) with the details of the file such as length.

Better yet, just give special people like me, access to a .wav file upload so I can import these single sounds myself, as I would if I was using a Unity SDK rather that the walled garden imposed by Meta.

P.S. I am not the only special person, but I seem to be the only one asking for this in Horizon Worlds.
