Mentor Help Prior To Competition Announcement

If a mentor has been in your world in the past, before March 11, 2025, can you still use that world in the competition as long as they have not had anything to do with it from the announcement on and you do not use anything (such as scripting) that they helped with in the past prior to March 11, 2025?

Knowledge you have learned from mentors is not a disqualifying trait. If they taught you something, that is fine. But they can not help directly with the entry - no writing code or contributions to the world itself. They can still answers general questions about Horizon Worlds, just no contributions to your world.

If the mentors taught you something, that is a-okay.

I was mistaken that sessions before March 11 are disqualifying, they are not. My apologies for that.

Check out the technical requirements here:
    https://mhcp-mobile-genre-competition.devpost.com/details/technical

The world needs to be newly published:

The world must be newly published by the Entrant during the duration of the competition and not have been previously entered into any other challenge, sweepstakes, promotion, or competition.

Additionally, mentors are not allowed to support with competition submissions (whether they helped before after March 11th). Team members/contributors of your world must meet eligibility requirements.

      Thank you for the reply:

All scripting that I LEARNED from a mentor has been removed and I have added an additional scripter to do it. Let me be clear, the mentor did not do ANYTHING but walk ME through scripting. I was unaware that knowledge I learned from a mentor back in February wasn’t allowed. I also was told in the MHCP discord IF a mentor was in my world PRIOR to the announcement, it was okay. I am getting different answers here.
