With the Mobile Competition submission deadline just around the corner, we want to make sure you have all the support you need to get your worlds submitted on time.

Important Reminders:

Submission Deadline: May 8, 2025 @ 11:45pm (PT) / 1:45am (CT) / 2:45am (ET)
Make sure to review the official competition rules and guidelines before submitting your world
If you encounter any technical issues during submission, please let us know ASAP so we can assist you

Critical Warning: Publishing a World as Non Discoverable and then switching to Discoverable Automatically Enables Members Only Option in the Desktop Editor

Please be aware that there is currently a bug in the Desktop Editor which can have implications when publishing your world.

If you have published your world, with Discoverable set to off, setting Discoverable to on in the Publishing modal in the Desktop Editor will automatically switch Members-Only to on.

Please make sure that you switch Members-Only to off before you publish your update, as judges will not be able to judge your world if it is set to Members-Only, and it must be available to play on mobile.

If you are impacted by this issue please alert us as soon as possible in the submission thread.

Hi! I can't get Horizon NPCs to work?
- They both have no avoidance collision (even tried adding a capsule collider to each one) and
-if they can't get to an exact point, they don't seem to know how to stop when they are as close as they can be?

oh wow, that's quite a submission bug - just unpublished and re-published world set to public instead of beta... however, it now isn't allowing for a mobile interaction and wants to pair a headset?

  Actually I just found a mobile bug... I went with a smaller iPhone Pro than the usual Pro Plus, so... on my new phone, it doesn't allow mobile (headset pair only) due to the screen size being not pro-sized? It seems to load on the old iPhone Pro Plus

    running into a similar issue.. i see as mobile game on android but iOS says VR only (forces headset pair with iPhone13mini)

I notice that my Horizon game recording videos on device have no audio though I hear it when I play... Does the Horizon iOS app block audio from being screen recorded?!

  I found the same thing. Even enabling the microphone in the screen recorder, the in-game audio wouldn't come through. I experimented with using an analog audio out from the phone, into my PC's mic input (well, though a MOTU interface), and recording the audio in parallel on my PC. 😅

Oh No I just noticed that members only bug (I nveer set it to that) and even after unpublishing, the public option still does not appear. What can be done?

  Okay i found a quick fix for the submissions bug: set duplicate project and set to public publish (even though it is still in beta, fixing bugs as basic as Horizon NPCs not behaving properly)

  For the members only bug, I was able to resolve this by duplicating my project and republishing the new one with different settings.

I had that problem right before the feedback festival. Couldn't get my world out of members only. I ended-up cloning it, scrapping the old one, and publishing the public clone instead.

Hi,
Where can I see if my world is set to "Members-Only" ?
I'm using the desktop editor and I can't see that option.

    As long as the world can be accessed, it should be okay if the world is marked as "Beta".

My world is not visible to public, but also not member's only--but those options are both grayed out. I can't change them. Even though it's not visible, it's not member's only--but most people I give the link to just get a blank screen when trying to run it on mobile.

  you have to make it public for others to see it

Just double-checking. It's okay to record footage using the DE in mobile preview mode, right? I also include footage of it running on my actual phone, and it's very close in experience. But recording on the phone (especially with iOS's screen recorder that doesn't record in-app audio) is a giant pain in the neck. And leads to poorer results.
Feels worth asking as I'm editing this thing down.

I mean, it's not *identical*. But for trailer purposes, it's totally representative of the mobile experience.

  Do you have special settings on or something to display the UI button icons? on DE instead of having buttons with UI, it just shows pink and green placer?

    In Preview Configuration, make sure "UI safe zone overlay" is disabled.

I see I cant publish my world to the public - is the solution to dupe it and then publish to the public?
