Question about the future of the Discord

No rules broken and I REALLY appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. We know that shifting from Discord to the forums is a big change, and it’s completely understandable to feel like there’s a divide when some creators had access to Discord and others didn’t. Our goal is to make sure that everyone, whether they’re brand new or have been here for a while, has an equal opportunity to connect, collaborate, and thrive in the program.

One of the biggest reasons we’re focusing on the forums is because they genuinely offer a better experience for most things creators need:

• Knowledge sharing is way stronger here. Unlike Discord, where important information can get buried in endless message threads, the forums make it easy to search, find, and reference discussions at any time. If someone asks a great question or shares valuable insights, that content stays visible and accessible for everyone—so no one has to ask the same questions over and over.
• Discoverability is massively improved. On Discord, unless you’re in the chat at the right time, you might miss important conversations or collaborations. The forums fix that by letting you browse by topic, check out ongoing discussions, and find people who share your interests—even if they posted weeks ago. We have improvements we can make and we're actively working to make sure your experience is the best it can be.
• Conversations are more organized and meaningful. Rather than a fast-scrolling chat, the forums give everyone space to articulate ideas, get thoughtful responses, and actually build on each other’s knowledge instead of just reacting in real time.

That said, we completely understand that social connections matter. The last thing we want is for anyone to feel like there’s a “social wall” between newer and older creators. If anything, the forums are actually making it easier to connect with like-minded people—you can jump into collab threads, start discussions, or even organize projects together.

Here’s how you can dive in and start connecting with people right now:

• Introduce yourself in the networking thread (I can link you to it if you haven’t found it yet). A lot of creators browse those to find potential collaborators.
• Check out collab posts—creators are always looking for people to team up with, whether it’s for building, scripting, or design.
• Engage in discussions—Whether you have questions, ideas, or just want to share your perspective, jumping into conversations will help you get to know people faster.
• Start a thread of your own! If there’s something specific you’re looking for, don’t hesitate to post it—chances are, others are looking for the same thing.
