Quick idea

Has Meta considered daylight to sundown environment realism ? Based off time zones ? I could imagine it enhancing the Horizon experience

  • ogtrapartist You can script timezones and have the environment changed based upon your timezone. For example, if it's night time where you are are you can have the starfield environment running then when it's daytime have the script change the environment to daytime

That's dope, i'm going to try it out & see how i can manipulate the scripts. i think it'll be dope to witness day , sunset & night fall in the same instance. Especially in build mode, to see how time passes by lol

You’ll need to get each players local timezone, no? What if two people from vastly different timezone are in the same world?

  • This is a really good idea. I had not thought of this, I think I will try this out with one of my worlds too.

Do it! i would like to see if you do. Now lets petition for a Meta sun lol a environment box that comes with a sun that automatically sets >=)

  • This would be awesome, but would players from different time zones see different times of the day while in the same world? How would this work?

You can have many different time zone clocks in the world but you would have to choose one that correlates with the environment gizmo your using.
