Texture size? No Unity tab

I was simply trying to shrink a texture and I was told I had to open unity tab on DTE. But I don't have a unity tab. It's not closed, no small arrows to where it is hidden.

Question 1. Is there a way to reduce texture size another way?

Question 2. Any reason why I would be missing the unity tab?

Thanks!

  • Welcome to Horizon Worlds! Using AI is a great way to speed up learning but do know that all AI systems are subject to hallucinations (see here for more technical information: Hallucination (artificial intelligence) - Wikipedia ).

In this case, there isn't a Unity tab in the release Desktop Editor. If you generated the texture using the Desktop Editor AI, try generating a new one with a different prompt. Or (and this is more advanced) download the texture and export the model; then use a software like Blender or Maya to adjust the UV accordingly.

  • Hi, can you share the link to the documentation that contains that information please? It will help to understand if the doc is current or not.

And to confirm, are you asking how to reduce texture size in Horizon Worlds or in the program that you are using to edit your textures?

  • Hi Pigeon, I'm newb here. Been in for about 3 weeks. I was using AI to learn how to make a CUI to adjust texture size. I have a wood floor texture that I can't shrink to make it look correct. The AI said to open a tab that I don't think exists. So I'm sure that issue is fine.

Yes, I'm simply wanting to learn how to resize textures on the desktop editor. Thanks for any help!
