fbx natively embeds texture, so i guess my question is is there a way to bypass needing to extract the texture as a separate upload from a perfectly compressed regular fbx
My guess is that Horizon Worlds supports only some of the fbx textures and in a different way. At least the Horizon Worlds system currently supports metallicity and roughness.
In any case, I'm sure that the Horizon World tools developers are well aware of the issues you've mentioned and perhaps there is another way to make feature requests than posting here?
