VB Audio Cable for Voiceovers

Hi Everyone!  I'm trying to use VB Audio Cable to upload voiceovers for my world.  First time using it.  Yesterday when I recorded a few samples the sound was fading in and out really bad.  Is there a way to fix this?  Is there an easier way to upload a voiceover?

  • Are these voiceovers previously recorded audio, or are you recording your own voiceovers?
Recording your own voiceover is pretty easy just speaking into the mic using a sound recorder, but uploading previously recorded audio is a little more difficult. Personally I use this device and set my mic input and audio output to the same device then open the desktop editor and start recording. If you have a second account in the world you can hear it while it is being recorded.

Thank you.  It's a previously recorded voiceover from an online program I purchased.  I will try your link and let you know how it works.  Thank you so much for answering.

  • Hi Misty.Lou.Who,

It looks like you may have an issue that our support teams would be a better fit for helping you with - could you do me a favor and either:

    • File this a ticket at metahorizoncreators.zendesk.com if this is a technical support issue (such as being blocked in headset or blocked in desktop), or
    • Send a quick email to creatorprograms@meta.com with the details you shared here if your issue is more about the program?

If your question is more to do with account-level requests, you can also visit https://www.meta.com/help/support/ for assistance as well.

    Hope this helps!

  • I found this video from seemebro to be really good at explaining the set up for recording audio using DE. For the voice overs I do I record onto the computer so i can edit/modify and then upload using the same method he's showing here. Don't know if this will solve the issues your having, but hopefully it helps
