Hi everyone! I'm RJ, also known as RJ_the_Creator. I've been an artist with a big imagination my entire life, growing up in a creative household where art was everything. As a kid, I spent my time drawing, painting, and building, always daydreaming about new worlds and characters. Looking back, it makes sense that I was drawn to Horizon Worlds.

After dropping out of college for animation due to financial struggles, I joined the Marine Corps at 19, serving two combat tours in Afghanistan. Later, I pursued graphic design, working with various companies and even creating promo art for celebrities. Eventually, I felt creatively burned out and returned to school for animation, which reignited my passion. That led me into game design, where I worked on environments and character creation.

Wanting to build something of my own, I started my own studio while doing contract work to stay afloat. Then, I discovered Horizon Worlds. It became a way to escape the computer and create in a hands-on, therapeutic way. I loved pushing the limits of primitives, experimenting with lighting, and telling immersive stories through interactive experiences.

I also realized Horizon was a great platform to test ideas and prove concepts—much faster than traditional game development. If I had an idea, I could build it in days or weeks, get a solid foundation, and gather feedback from others. I never expected to fall in love with the immersiveness of VR or to build incredible friendships and a supportive fanbase that pushes me to keep creating worlds and stories people enjoy.

Now, Horizon has evolved into a full gaming platform that aligns perfectly with my skills and career. It’s been an amazing journey, and I plan to keep raising the bar, inspiring others, and pushing creative boundaries in this space.
