World stats

Does anyone know if there is a problem with the world insight stats (and a timeline for fixing it?)

I understand that there is supposed to be a two day delay but for at least the last week it has been four days.

I've been using leaderboards as a hack to track basic user stats but I am not entirely sure if they are immediately updated.
