Hi Ben,
Thank you for getting back to me.
I actually received a response through another support channel regarding the enrollment issue. I was informed that Argentina is not currently supported for general MHCP enrollment, which is why I was unable to join the program.
However, I wanted to mention that Argentina is listed as an eligible jurisdiction in the competition rules (under the selected creator regions). Because of that, I genuinely believed I was eligible to enroll and spent quite a bit of time trying to join on June 1st, only to repeatedly receive the following message:
"Unfortunately, you don't currently meet the minimum eligibility to join the Meta Horizon Creator Program. In order to join the program you must be 18+, reside in a supported country, and have a Meta account in good standing."
I meet those requirements: I am over 18, I live in Argentina, and my Meta account is in good standing. It might be worth reviewing the wording of the eligibility information, as it can be a bit confusing for creators from my region.
I also wanted to ask about a possible exception. One of my teammates from Spain was able to join the MHCP on June 6th, and he would be the official Team Representative and submitter for our project.
I understand that the competition rules specify MHCP membership by June 1st, but given that I was unable to enroll due to the situation above and that we have already begun developing our game design concept, would there be any possibility for our team to be considered as an exception?
We're genuinely excited about the competition and about contributing to the Meta Horizon ecosystem, and we would be incredibly grateful for any guidance or flexibility you might be able to offer.
Thank you again for your time.
