As part of our $50 million investment in Meta Horizon Worlds creators, we’re launching the Mobile Genre Showdown—a competition designed to accelerate, elevate, and reward innovative mobile world development.
Starting March 11, 2025, the Mobile Genre Showdown will challenge creators to build genre-defining mobile and VR experiences that showcase the future of Meta Horizon Worlds. With a $1,000,000 million prize pool and 30 winners, this is your opportunity to prove your skills, gain massive exposure, and win big.
The top five winners will each take home $100,000, with an additional $500,000 distributed among 25 creators across multiple competition categories. Whether you’re a seasoned world builder or just getting started, this is your chance to compete at the highest level.

Competition Format & Details
📅 Competition Period: March 11–May 8, 2025
🔎 Judging: May 12–May 30, 2025
🌎 Eligibility: Open to MHCP members (18+) in supported countries.*
💰 Prizes: $1 million total prize pool distributed among 30 winners.
🏆 Categories: Top five genre-defining experiences ($100,000 each), plus 25 additional winners across six categories.
📍 Expanded Eligibility: This year’s competition welcomes creators from even more countries worldwide!*
All entries will be judged by a panel of Meta experts using a set of criteria (to be revealed at competition launch) that aligns with applicable genres and mobile-first innovation.
