Yippee!! The "light" axe is the imported one from the New Creators challenge, the "dark" one is the one I made using Blender! I hadn't touched it in a while but the tutorial was great!
The Blender workflow felt very natural and intuitive, it was great to expand the cube and add geometry where needed. Last time I studied 3D I remember an awful lot of manually moving individual vertices around, so this was a lot better! I struggled a bit with setting the material up and getting the image names right for importing (I was puzzled, then realized my material and images had different capitalization! Colors/colors so that's why it wasn't working) but it was still a very enjoyable thing to do. I think even the metallic back part of the axe is working and it actually looks metallic!
As a small question, should I post a link to some world with this? I just used my initial/tutorial/sandbox world that I've been messing around in, so it's not like a fully set up environment or anything.
Overall this was a great experience, thanks for the challenge π
The Dark one is so heavy metal! π€ Great job on the modeling! I'm glad the tutorial helped you! no need to link a world! but feel free to show off your work to your friends! If you feel inspired why not make a world theme around the dark axe! haha Happy Making! β¨
