Whoa...
I started with the intermediate challenge and got stuck on uv wrapping... Brain is a little fried.
Then decided I should start with the basics, and went through the trouble of importing, not realizing that I needed to import the textures as well.
Finally got it to work!!!
I do have a blender question - How do you export textures through blender? Example - I have a Jar.fbx with a simple woodgrain texture on it and when I export, it only sends out an .fbx file and when I import to Horizons Desktop, it asks for another texture_BR.png. Is that just the .png I used to create the texture? Sorry, I missed the workshop hours.
No worries for missing the workshop! Importing your item into horizon does require a texture being imported with it.
If you need to extract your texture from blender its super easy:
You can go into your UV editing tab, then you select your item with the desired texture on the right which is your main viewport.
After its selected be sure you put yourself in edit mode. select the face of the item and the image will populate on the left, the UV viewport. from there you can save the image out.
I hope this helps!
