Challenge Overview

This challenge pushes your creativity by having you design your own flowers using the _Masked texture type. Masked textures are perfect for creating detailed and visually stunning organic elements like petals, leaves, and grass.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Get creative with either drawing or finding a transparent png that will work for this project.
  • Apply transparent png to geometry and give it some shape.
  • Importing item into the Desktop editor.

Challenge Steps:

  • Watch the tutorial video showing how to transform 2D drawings into 3D models. With these techniques, you'll be able to create your own 3D flower model.

  • Use your creativity and add basic textures or materials to your model
  • Export your model FBX for Horizon Worlds
  • Import the model into the desktop editor and place it in your world
  • Test the model in your world to ensure it appears correctly
