age restricted after purchase and now I cannot access the app on any account on the quest3

I am dealing with a nightmare situation. I purchased my son a Meta Quest 3 a few years ago, he used it happily for some time and several games were purchased. In testing something for another parent, i set the birthday on his account to much younger than he is.
I have contacted Meta Quest support several times trying to resolve this, but apparently there is no way to correct this on the account. So now we have games purchased on that old account as well as progress in games locked to that one profile with no ability to shift them to another profile on the account.
1. Is there really NO WAY to reset the age of an account once you set it for a child? This is completely ridiculous and unacceptable.
2. Is there NO WAY to transfer the purchases that that account can no longer play to another account on the same unit? I've looked far and wide, but I haven't been able to find a way to do this.
Thank you in advance, i REALLY hope we can resolve number 1, but #2 should be a bare minimum.
