Bought a game for my child but I can't access it? I have to buy it twice?

My child wanted the game Floor Plan 2. While logged in to his account I bought the game, apparently as a gift. I put my passcode in to buy the game from the store. When I logged in to my parent account on the same headset and searched for the game in the library it isn't there. I found it in the store and it shows that my child owns it but I am required to buy it a second time if I want access. What gives?! App sharing IS enabled. Why can't I access games on my child's account on the same headset?

App Sharing only works if the primary account on the headset (admin) owns the game. Then it can be shared to the secondary accounts attached to it on the same device, provided the game supports App Sharing and there are no other restrictions in place (such as age restrictions or parental controls).

So generally, I buy the games that my 12yo wants using my account and then share them. If you want to avoid re-purchasing the Floor Plan 2 game, you could switch to your son's profile and play it from there, I guess.
