The code does not work on main game (it shows the error message that “this code is for another item” etc when you try to redeem the code on the main game.
For meta support, I have been checking with them back and fro and they just told me to keep patient🤦🏻♂️

But if it is a store error you have no other choice than being patient and wait for a fix.
I understand your frustration, though.
