I am unable to add payment methods through the headset, mobile, or web. It says its not working. I do have enough quest credits to cover my purchase because I bought a gift card. However Im still having the initial problem I described.
I have had the same problem as you and now I have £50 meta cash that I cant spend and all meta say is we are looing in to this but nothing gets done. I have sent countless emails to them and the same reply like its just AI getting back to me. I have only had it for a week and I have been saving up for it for the last year wish I didn't bother now to be honest as I cant play any of the games I bought it for.

I'm actually having the exact same issues too. Meta Support confirmed to me in an email that this is a widespread issue. I sent them a legal demand citing their contractual obligations under their Terms and Conditions which state we are allowed a replacement gift card when there's an issue on their end. They completely ignored me and now I'm considering legal proceedings.
Did they end up resolving your issue? Meta Support seems to have different real names on the email but it seems to be AI as they just copy and paste the same email saying to wait 24 hours.
