Can't download Games on Meta Horizon for weeks now. HELP PLZ!

I have been trying to download Asgard's Wrath on Meta Horizon Link for my Rift S, but it starts downloading and after a minute or two it stops and tells me "Sorry, we couldn't install Asgard's Wrath. Visit Meta Quest Support to get help.

It was really hard to get the app installed. I looked up and found a solution. Now that it is installed, large download fails to download.

This is the log error:

[Debug] [2/14/2026 5:03:55 PM] Ding!

These are what I have tried so far:

  1. Disable and also Uninstalled AV (Bit Defender), Disable Windows Firewall
  2. Changed install direction from C: to D:
  3. Checked size in disk (1TB free)
  4. Re installed Meta Quest Link
  5. Change DNS on router to Google DNS and back
  6. Re installed fresh Windows 10 copy and upgraded to Win 11
  7. Updated GPU drivers
  8. Download and replaced libcrypto.dll
  9. Changed meta folder permissions
  10. Set Power Supply on Windows to performance
  11. Set Ethernet device not to go to sleep ever
  12. Killed a black goat in the name of LOKI and Asgard

NOTHING WORKED!

I cant place a support ticket either. Meta Quest Support does not show my Rift S (But it does show all my apps, from which I selected Asgard's Wraith but the troubleshooting section was not helpful).

Help, anyone?

    I FOUND A FIX!

If you are struggling to get your games/apps to download, I finally found how to fix my issue:

    I USED A VPN.

My guess is that the ISP is responsible for 'cutting' the connection. It was never my firewall/AV. I simply did the opposite Meta Support told me to do: I used a VPN. And it worked like a charm.

I hope some one who has this issue see this post and try this fix.

That's great! Well done. It might not work for everyone with the problem but it's easy to try to see if it works for them! Well done you! Maybe post that as a solution so more people can see it. πŸ‘ πŸ‘
