Drop Dead Can't Invite

About a month ago Drop Dead coop play broke. One can create a room but the invite button no longer works.  On June 23, 2025 the developer posted:

Hey, thanks for your feedback. We completely understand the frustration. Dual Strike uses an older multiplayer system that relies on a deprecated API. Meta had stated it would continue working for existing apps, but unfortunately we are now running into issues. We have reached out to Meta and are waiting to see if they can resolve it. If not, we will need to make some big changes on our end, which will take time. We really appreciate your patience and support as we work through this.

This needs to be fixed or all funds returned to the buyers as game no longer plays as is currently being advertised and promoted through Meta.

    If you're trying to report a broken or misleading game that's still being advertised on Meta's platform (such as Quest Store), here's how you can proceed effectively:

    1. Report the App to Meta:

    On your headset or through the Meta app:

    Go to the app page on the Meta Store.

    Scroll down and tap “Report”.

    Select “Something went wrong” or “Misleading or broken content”.

    Describe the issue: that the game no longer plays as advertised and still appears actively promoted.

     

    2. Request a Refund (if applicable):

    Meta has a refund policy for most apps and games within 14 days of purchase and under 2 hours of playtime.

    On your phone or computer, go to: https://store.meta.com/redeem-orders/

    Sign in and locate the game.

    Click “Request Refund” and provide clear reasoning, e.g.:

    > "Game no longer functions as advertised. Still being promoted, but is unplayable in its current state."

     


    3. Leave a Public Review:

    Leave a review explaining the issue to warn other buyers and draw attention to the problem.

      The name of the game is Drop Dead. It is a known issue.  It has postings prior to June 23, 2025.  It is being advertised as a multiplayer game on Meta. Postings indicate that players can create a room but cannot invite other players.  Their developers state it is due to a new API created by Meta and they need help with fixing it.  Continued sales of Drop Dead when it doesn't play as advertised is unethical and possibly illegal. If it is an API issue, Meta needs to fix it or refund every players purchase price.  Meta broke it, Meta needs to restore it.

    Same. We can no longer play multiplayer.  That was the best part of the game.
