Frustration over loosing hundreds of dollars worth of VR games

I am pretty frustrated and disheartened to find out that after purchasing a Meta Quest 3, my entire VR game library has been deleted and I'm being told that I need to re-purchase ALL of my games. I've purchase two Oculus head sets in the past and have spent hundreds on the Oculus game store. I shouldn't get penalized for having missed a notification email that was burried in my spam folder.

Has anyone had any success in recovering their lost purchased games through support?

  • If you had an Oculus account did you ever move it to a meta account?

awhile ago meta deleted every oculus account that wasn’t moved over to a meta account in march of 2024. If that happened to you try contacting support to see if you can atleast recover your purchases

Several warning emails were sent to Oculus account holders to update their accounts before complete deletion. I remember at least 6 emails warning us to update before April 2024 or lose everything. I did it just in time fortunately as I was ignoring them previously. Even after that date they sent an email with a retrieval code to people who didn't respond in time. I'm not sure if it will still work but if you can find that mail you might get your games back. As I said, there were an awful lot more than one notification email. I almost missed out and I would only have myself to blame. The only method to possibly get the games back is to search your email history and find the one with the retrieval code. Good luck! 🤞🤞
