Games that don't need internet connection

I have a new Quest 2. I can go into work to use the internet connection there to update and download apps and music packs, but once I'm home, I only have DSL internet. So is there a way to search for apps/games/etc to purchase that DON'T require internet use after downloading? I have Beat Saber (which I LOVE) and Panic at the Disco pack. I need MORE things!

(BTW: 70 YO, so not so much interested in violence - more interested in hand eye coordination, movements, things of that nature). If you have suggestions, I would welcome those!

  • You should be able to play anything that doesn't require multi-player. You can also get a refund on any app you buy that hasn't been played for more than 2 hrs.

You might want to try Audio Tripp! I'm 53 & totally addicted to BEAT Saber..but Audio Trip is also a music game & really fun.

Hi, what about games that state 'internet connection required for downloadable content'? For instance, Epic Rollercoasters? Does that mean it will be using the WiFi to download as I'm playing or does it mean you need internet access for add ons? And that the tracks you already have will play without internet?

Hi there, SenServs! We're excited to see your interest in adding some amazing VR content to your collection, and we want to make sure you're able to play without a constant Wi-Fi connection! The message you're referring to on games in our store means that in order to access new downloadable content on the game that's not already installed on your headset, internet access would be required. The only reason any content should be downloading in the background is if you're connected to the internet, click download on some content, and then play another track while that content is downloading. The internet is only needed for the initial download of 'downloadable content,' and once installed, it should no longer be needed. Let us know if any other questions pop up!

  • One of the best game that I played offline is “I expect you to die”, if that can help.

Hiro_Protag0nist this is very interesting to have an offline section, because since V66 if you try an run PCVR offline, all of your meta games and apps disappear from your library apart from the first contact and dreamdeck demos.

  • I expect you to die 1-3

Literally the best VR games I have ever played, and they can be played offline

  • If you're into offline games but still enjoy optimizing your gameplay, there's a lot you can explore even without an internet connection. For example, fans of strategic RPGs might benefit from tools that help calculate progress or resources. One useful option is the HSR Warp Value which offers insight for better planning during solo sessions. It’s a smart way to enhance your experience without being online all the time.
