Gaming controller and head tracking

I'm trying to use my xbox controller to play a game and airlinked to my PC but when I use my controller it keeps making my head tracking as the mouse cursor so it's impossible to play a game using my controller. Can I turn off head tracking for mouse?

    Hello dallon.traverse,

We totally understand how frustrating this can be when you just want to use your controller to play your game, but it keeps using your mouse cursor. So let's see what we can do to help.

  • If you mean play a non VR game using the desktop view, unfortunately this is the way the software is designed to work, the runtime looks for xbox controllers to control the airlink desktop environment (legacy of the first consumer Oculus Rift coming with an xbox controller as its primary input device).

Currently the only workaround is to use a different controller. Only xbox compatible controllers do this. If you get a playstation controller or generic (non xinput/xbox) controller they should work the way you want.

(For example my xbox series x controller turns on the head tracking cursor, but my playstation 5 controller doesn't)
