Hiding games and app

I am having trouble resolving this issue for some time now. Meta introduced the ability to hide apps in the Meta Quest library with the v66 software update. According to the official release notes, you can hide any app you’ve downloaded from the Meta Quest Store and then see hidden apps by selecting Hidden from a dropdown in the library.

On my Quest 2, a shared account has this hide apps option available. I can hide demos, purchased games, and old content just fine. When I log that same shared account into my Quest 3 and Quest 3s, the hide apps option still appears. But on my main account, the show-hide option never appears at all, even though the headset is updated to a version that should support it. I’ve tried factory resetting the headset, rebooting, signing out and signing back in, and none of that brings the hide option back on my main account.

From community reports, it seems like although hide apps was announced with v66, many users still do not see it on their own accounts. Some people have the option on one account and not on another, suggesting the feature may be rolled out per account rather than per headset or version.

Does anyone know why the hide apps option appears for some accounts and not others, can it be that day one oculus accounts have this or is there a way to force it to show up on my main account? Being able to hide old demos and one-time test content would make finding the games I actually want to play much less time-consuming.

    No, it's totally random.

I had the hide option on my account for some time, then I got the remove option and hide disappeared. I have this account since 2019.

Btw. for the remove option it is the same, some accounts have it,  many others not.

On my second account  on the same headset, I still have the "hide" option..... but not "remove". This account is much yoinger, maybe 1 or 2 years.

Nope, you receive a feature or not. 🤷‍♀️

I would create a second account, add it to the headset and use this one to try demos, free trials and so on. This will help to keep your main library clean...... sadly, that doesn't help you with all the stuff you already have in your library.☹️

On my daughter's account on my headset, and on her new headset, she has the "Remove" option. I only have the "hide" option on both headsets under my profiles 🤣.

Yep, that's how it is😂....it's always related to the account, not the headset.
