Hyperscape Capture - Issue with previewing created worlds

I have captured my room, and in the Capture app, it shows that it has been created. I have also received a notification that my world has now been created, and I can now join. 

 

However, when I clicked on 'Join', it would show a bubble pop-up of my created world, and then everything would disappear to display my current environment. I have scanned this twice and both times the world was created, but I can't enter the world.

Secondly, neither of the created worlds is reflected in my Preview app. In my preview app, I could see another world that my friend had previously created but this does not appear on my capture app. 

TLDR: Worlds on Capture app dont appear on Preview App, cant be accessed as well. World on Preview app can be accessed but does not appear on Capture app.

  • Just recalled - my friend created one with the same enterprise managed account. His world is still on the Preview app.

  • Got it - so worlds created before the updates would stay in the Preview App and worlds created after the update would be in the Capture app. 

    Slight Correction: It says "Go" on the Capture App, and "View" with a man crossing a hoop on the notifications to notify me that my world has been successfully created.

    I have tried uninstalling and installing the app again. I am still stuck at the scene where the bubble of my world pops up and then disappears again onto the Apps page. If anyone would like to try, this is the link to one of the worlds I created but unable to access.

    I hope this works for you and perhaps the problem is with my device.

        So I guess the issue is with my headset, or my linked profile. I'm on an enterprise headset with an enterprise-managed account. Not sure if that changes anything.

        I might factory reset if I don't get any other solutions.


  • The Preview app only shows captures that were made before the November update, when the capture format was changed to make them compatible with Horizon Worlds.

    I don't know your age, but children are age-restricted from accessing Hyperscape.

    I've only made one capture in the newer version of Capture Beta, but it seems to be working flawlessly. The old captures that I have in the Preview app also work flawlessly. In fact, image stability has improved greatly since the earlier versions of the app.

    You mentioned clicking "Join". When I open my captures in the Preview app, the option is "View" not join. In the Beta Capture app, the option in the library is "Go", not Join. So you must be talking about sharing captures using the "invite" option. I don't think this is properly implemented yet and will have access limitations (such as age and geofencing).

    One thing that really irks me though, is that in the Beta Capture app, you can select your captures from the menu when you first load the app, but after you visit one of your captured world, there is NO WAY to bring up your captures library menu (like you can in the Preview app), so you have to completely shut down the app and open it up again 😒!

    TLDR: basically, the captures in the Preview and Captures apps are not compatible with each other.
