Hyperscape "Failed to create world" errors

Hi, is anyone else getting these after an attempt is made to process a hyperscape? I'd like to be able to find out more about why a scan of mine has failed, but this generic message is all I can see, so I'm hesitant to try again.

    Hey there Coldie!

Thanks for raising this issue with us about your Hyperscape failing to create a world. We'd like to help you out with this problem.

You can take a look at our Software Update Tool. This will allow you to update your Quest to the latest compatible version while leaving behind any corrupt files from a previous update.

We'd also ask if you can Submit a Bug report so that we can look further into this for you. You can let us know how you've got on with this and if it still isn't fixed, we'll see what else can be done to help you!

Thanks for taking the time to raise this with us, let us know if you need additional support!

Thanks, I think your first link is wrong (it just goes to the bug report page) but I checked and I confirmed that my OS is up-to-date.

I've submitted a bug report through the Quest as instructed as well. Are you able to see the bug report and look into this further?

        Hey coldie.2024!

Thanks for your response and correcting us with that link being the wrong link. Let us rectify this now for you: Software Update Tool.

In regards to your bug report, the engineers will pick that up for you and review and identify the issue.

We'd like you to try the Software Update tool anyway as sometimes even if you're on the latest, there can be corrupt files that cause issues like this. When completing the Software Update Tool you have the option to repair the device.

It's been a few days now, do you know whether the developers will individually reach out to me to respond to my bug report? I want to know whether I should give up on these scans and redo everything, or whether the same thing is likely to happen again.

I hope you figure this out, i've got a friend with the same issue

  • Same issue here, my scan is gigantic, so it would be a miracle if it worked, but I was so hopeful after an upload issue finally got resolved, and I progressed to processing stage, to get this "failed to create world" outcome just in a couple of hours later...
