I can't ask for permission on age restricted games it just won't load

I recently wanted to play the Game Bonelab on my quest 2 ! My parents are totally fine with me playing 18+ games since I myself am 17 and turning 18 soon. However my account is entirely restricted for 18+ games ! I already set up the parental controls with my mom‘s Account to disable the function and give me full access to the entire catalogue ! However, whenever my mom disables the restriction, the option is immediately re-enabled when you leave the menu ! My phone app got spammed with „your restrictions have been disabled“ notifications, however the changes never apply ! I also am unable to even send an approval notification for any purchases overall, so there is absolutely no button to even press ! Well, now my Mom gifted me the game over her account, because we thought this maybe worked better. But the activation code just gets rejected with the same „you aren‘t 18 yet“ response… What can i do ? I have full approval of my parents as I said before… We followed all the guides on the websites, doing everything step by step. Websites don‘t work either, we tried the Website on Desktop and also via Mobile Browser…

    Hi there, MrMango9366! We are sad to hear that you are having some issues with being able to gain permission to play BoneLab. We want to help get you to start enjoying Bonelab as soon as possible.

     

    We would like to confirm that parental controls are currently enabled and that the steps to approve you to download Bonelab were followed. Depending on notification settings, your parent account may get a notification that you have requested access to a blocked app. The notification can be tapped to proceed. If they don’t see a notification on their lock screen, ask them to open their Meta Quest mobile app and navigate to the parent dashboard under parental supervision.

     

    Follow these steps:

    1. At the top of the dashboard, they should see any new notifications (the bell icon). They can tap the notification for the blocked app and then tap the ellipsis (...) to see details about the app.
      • Tapping Allow will grant access to the app.
      • If Allow is not tapped, the app will remain blocked.

      Hi ! Thanks for the reply. The issue is, i am unable to even send the permission request in the first place ! Whenever i want to buy a game that is above my age rating, the app just doesn't even let me send the request ! It just tells me the application is not allowed with my current restrictions, with no button at all on the popup ! And when my parent wants to manually enable the app on their side, the butoon is greyed out, unable to be pressed ! Telling them "sorry, you cannot allow your teen to acess games rated 18+" i heard this limitation is part of some ruling in Australia, problem is we are german. The rules don't apply to us at all !

    Idk if this will work for you guys.  Since you said gifted through her account....Worth a try though.

    - Have your parent go to Family Center.  https://familycenter.meta.com/dashboard

    - Click your account under "Accounts you Supervise"

    - Scroll down to "Supervision Settings"

    - Click "Manage individual apps"

    - In the search bar lookup "BONELAB" and select

    - When it comes up, scroll down right below video and click "Review App"

    - Click "Allow and Purchase"

    - You may or may not receive an email.  My son didn't, but it showed as Redeemed right after it was bought because it automatically went to his account.  I guess because I bought it through my account.

    - Your headset should have the notification for the new game.

    Hey there! Regarding this, I had Bonelab as well not long ago before one day I was locked out of Bonelab, I would keep getting an error message after 4 weeks of purchase, I would have to refund this to get a new game, but I live in Australia, so this is quite puzzling for me, I hope we get to the bottom of this!

      i want to buy the “not like us” song add on on beatsaber but it’s 18+, it isn’t giving me the option to request it to my parent, and when my parent searches it up in “manage individual apps” it doesn’t show up because it’s an add on not an app

    I’m having the same problem but with BoneLab, I bought it one day and after a few months it kept coming up with an error saying I can’t play because I’m not 18+, I had to refund the game even though my parent account allowed me to play the game, I think it’s some sort of bug but Meta hasn’t reached out to me at all about it besides the refund.
