Hi

some years ago i bought a oculus rift, with severals games on my old computer

now i tried to use my oculus rift again, because he s still working,  on my new computer, but the software changed, it s now meta horizon, i create a new account (no choice) with the same email, but i don t have my games anymore. all my money is  gone, i don t want to buy the same games again...

It is not normal to not offer an option to recover purchased games.

i just bought few minutes ago a meta quest3 ... but i want to retrieve my old games ! (robocall and more) i just have my steam vr game

Hi AyorosKnight  Notices were sent to us all to our registered Oculus account email that we needed to switch to a Meta account before 29 March of last year, 2024. If you did not do that, your data is gone, unfortunately. As you had the Oculus some years ago I take it you didn't update.  About 5 or 6 warning emails were sent. Luckily for me I didn't ignore the last one and signed over to Meta.

  • And just for your information as that article isn't quite correct, you did not need to have a Facebook account to sign up or switch over. I didn't have an FB account for years.

  • Hi AyorosKnight 🙂

    Maccyb123 answer is absolutely  correct.

All Oculus accounts that weren't migrated to Meta accounts by March 2024 got deleted.

As far as I know, people even received an email with a recovery code to restore their purchases.

You can try and speak to support..... but I think, if you can't find those email, you are out of luck.🙁

  • I skipped the email and I actually received it back in 2024 — oh well, my bad… thanks everyone!

It's one of those things that can easily be forgotten about. You could try your luck and contact support. You never know. They might help. Good luck!

Contact Meta support. If you can provide receipts for the software purchases, perhaps Meta would be generous enough to give you store credit so you can re-purchase those games. It's worth a try.
