Meta Horizon Worlds stuck on installing

When I try to enter Meta Connect, another window shows up prompting me to download. However, it is stuck on "Installing..." and I can't join. Also, the reviews seem to be different than the regular download page. How can I fix this?

      I have two Quest 3 headsets. 

      1 is on v81, the other is on v79.

        This is happening on both headsets on 3 different accounts on each headset.

      Yep. I believe this issue is probably 90% caused from the OS being a beta.

        Nope. I've had this issue for over 2 months and I have never been on the PTC. I'm on release v79.1034.

  • I tried to uninstall the Worlds app and guess what? It is now considered a "System App" and there is no option for uninstall, only cache clearing, which I have already tried. I have wondered if this might be the cause (the store app cannot update the system app maybe?).  Give me an UPDATE TO FIX IT META.

      No. The Worlds app has been updated several times in my Quest 3 headset in the past 2 months. You can click the "download" icon in the Library on your headset to see which apps have been updated recently. Worlds had an update on 15 September but the bug was not fixed.

       

  • According to my knowledge, usually it’s fixed by fully uninstalling the Horizon Worlds app (including any leftover cache/data), then reinstalling directly from the official Meta Quest Store instead of the pop-up link. Also make sure your headset software is up to date, since older versions can cause the install to hang.

    Can we ask that you make sure your device is fully up to date? You can do that by clicking here.

     

    If the issue still persists you may also want to submit a bug report so our engineers can take a closer look for you. 

     

    To report a bug from your Meta Quest.

     

    1. Press the Meta button on your right Touch controller to open the universal menu.

    2. Select the clock on the left-hand side of the universal menu to open Quick settings.

    3. Select Report problem.

    4. Select Include or Don't include to add complete logs and diagnostics.

    5. Follow the instructions to submit your report.

     

    You can also quickly press the Meta button on your right Touch controller five times in a row to open the bug report tool.
