Meta Link Home Application [Re-Implementation Request]

I started using Oculus products in December 2020, and my experience in the virtual world has been incredible. When I first put on the Oculus Rift S headset and built my home in cyberspace, it brought me joy I still remember vividly.

Recently, I came across a post from MetaQuestSupport from 3 years ago stating that support for the older Oculus Home experience was discontinued. While I understand the decision, I truly hope Meta considers reviving and enhancing this feature.

As someone living in a small apartment, having a customizable virtual sanctuary was therapeutic. It allowed me to rest, work with virtual monitors, and feel connected yet distant from the burdens of everyday life. This was a game-changing feature that many users cherished.

I respectfully ask Meta to consider reintroducing Oculus Home as a standalone app for all compatible headsets, including the Rift S. Imagine a future where our Metaverse Homes are interactive bubbles—safe spaces to meet friends, socialize, and communicate without relying on third-party platforms like VRChat.

Personally, I find VRChat overwhelming due to social anxiety. A Meta-governed space would offer a safer, more regulated environment. If this feature returns, I’d be excited to invest—not just in shares, but in the future of virtual living.

Are there any updates or plans to re-implement this feature? If so, I hope Rift S users are included. The Metaverse has the potential to help people grow, connect, and find peace—and Oculus Home was a beautiful step in that direction.
