Meta Quest 2 unable to install Horizons World

Hi, I am trying to install horizons world app on my meta quest 2 to test out worlds created using meta horizons worlds desktop editor in VR. However, it seems that every time I try to install the app in the headset, it would get stuck in installing. A notification would popup and say that the installation is complete and ready to use, but when I try to open it it closes and shows it is still installing again.

Advice on how to fix this would be appreciated.

    Thanks for reaching out about the Horizon Worlds issue that you've run into. 

    We at Meta Quest Support want you to get the most enjoyment possible from your Quest 2, and would like to help you get back into exploring the new horizons.

     

    Here are some general suggestions that might prove effective in managing to download Horizon Worlds;

     

    • Uninstall the app, log out of profile on both app and headset, and restart the device before attempting to reinstall.
    • If you have a secondary profile, attempt to install Horizon Worlds when logged into the secondary account.
    • Check that you don't have any VPN's, Anti-virus, and if using a duel-band router that it is using 5.0 Ghz for the headset.
    • If still unsuccess launching from the headset, attempt to launch from the phone app instead- as this can prompt the headset to update it's contents.

     

    If these suggestions don't prove successful then please reach out to us again via Private Message, and we can look into further solutions.

      Hey there, I'm having this exact same issue but with the new Horizon Central on v81. I have tried these methods, but none of them seem to be working. How can I fix this?

        If you are having the same experience with your version of Horizon Central, and the above steps haven't proven successful, then submitting a bug report to our engineers is the next step.

        The more information that they have to work with, will help with developing improvements to avoid these type of issues.
