PC with Windows 101 went to Meta's website2 downloaded the app3 double clicked it4 this Error came outreally have no idea how to solve it, please help

It didn't worked tho I found the solution and the reason of the issue, the app won't install unless you create a new local windows profileHere is the steps to make the app work:Create a new local windows profile (It must be a offline local profile) and give it Admin provilagesSwitch the user to the newly created profileInstall the oculus appFind the location where you installed the app and allow everyone to use the entire folder not only the app.Here is a clip showing how to allow everyone to use certain apps but do that to the entire folder instead (https://youtu.be/tmdkWHxSjeQ?si=LQAg_UVumYvGnQ4h)Switch back to your Windows User and delete the local user that you createdOpen the app, if you run into error OVR88948175 when selecting the location is most likely because you should not setup the app on the Offline user, I would sugest just installing the oculus app and not open it at all on that user tho the fix is really easy, you have to create this folder structure in regedit HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Oculus VR, LLC\Oculus\Libraries\ HKEY_CURRENT_USER and Software is already there. So, Just copy "Oculus VR, LLC", right click on Software then New -> Key -> paste the name.Like this just add the "Oculus" and "Libraries" keys/folders in the hierarchy and the setup should continue without errorThe reason of the issue is not the app interfering with other apps, is a bug in the setup app, you cannot install it if you used your email when you created your windows User or if you ever linked your Microsoft account to the User, even if you unlink the Microsoft account it will still not work. The only way is to create a new offline User and delete it afterwardsI sugest installing the oculus app on another partition than "C:/” just in case you need to copy and paste the folder

Download and run the Meta Quest Link app installation software

You will see a screen which says, "Already Installed"

Click the "Repair" option and confirm again on the next screen

Same here, wont install. rebooted, redownloaded, turned off anti virus and firewall after reboot. to much hassle, think im gonna return the oculus. Bummer

  Make sure you have downloaded the correct file.
  Reboot your PC, then install the Oculus software you downloaded.
  If it still gives the error, try booting into Windows safe mode then try installing again.
  If it still won't install, are you using any 3rd-party virus scanners that might be blocking the app?
  UPDATE: a user on Reddit had some vague issue with a space character in their Windows user folder name. SO TRY SAVING AND RUNNING THE FILE FROM A DIFFERENT FOLDER, MAYBE ONE THAT HAS NO SPACES OR ODD CHARACTERS IN THE NAME.
  My main account on Windows 10 had been renamed (from Joe Bloggs to just Joe) and this meant that file structures did indeed have the cursed SPACE in the folder name
